Well it’s becoming more and more apparent that the establishment GOP wants to have as the Republican nominee to go against Barack Obama, Former Gov. Willard Mitt Romney. Why think this?… well the GOP moved up the Florida GOP primary by 6 weeks, making it more difficult for those campaigns without an established organization in place to compete with Gov. Romney who has a campaign apparatus in place since the failed 2008 Presidential bid. Not to mention that virtually every sitting Republican elected official in Florida was backing the Romney bid. And then there is Maine…. There the GOP announced that Mr Romney was the winner of the state’s caucuses before all the votes had been counted. Now why in the world would the state GOP chairman call the election before all the votes were counted? He said it was for the safety of the votes as it’s winter and it snowed in Maine. That must be a first for the residents to have snow in the winter season. At least the GOP is looking out for their registered voters. Now since it is out in the light of day that the GOP establishment wants Romney there is pressure to count all the votes in Maine. Wow what an American concept… count all the votes in an election not the ones a select group wants counted.
L. Sandy Maisel, professor of government at Colby College and a Democrat, said the perception seems to be that because the Maine Republican Party establishment largely supported Romney, it was selective when tallying the results.
“It sure looks like they counted what they wanted to count,” he said.
So it looks more and more that the Republican establishment will once again not so gently nudge to the forefront the candidate that best suits the needs and desires of the establishment and not the one that should stand for true Republican values. Notice I didn’t say conservative values. I don’t think the Republican establishment could find a conservative value if it was smothered in honey and stuck to their collective chins. These people want nothing to do with conservatism. You know the tenets of less spending and smaller government. So it looks like for most Americans there will be a choice between the Big Government, Social Justice, Socialistic Democrat of failed economic policies Barack Obama and the Government Control of your health care and I’m with you today unless you’ve changed your mind tomorrow and I’m still with you then too Willard Romney. And the losers are… The American people and their children and their grand children. And the home of the brave……..
We’ll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgment of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song
