Bob Hope’s Prophetic Observation

Now way back in 1940, Bob Hope made an observation about election fraud.  Though I don’t think he realized to the extent he might be correct because he might of have a few more adult beverages had he known how pervasive the problem would become.  Now you see, according to Pew, 1 in 8 voter registrations is inaccurate and 51 million citizens are unregistered. According to this Pew data:

The ground-breaking examination of the nation’s voter rolls, commissioned by Pew and undertaken by RTI International, a nonprofit, nonpartisan research institute, also finds that:

• At least 51 million eligible citizens remain unregistered—more than 24 percent of the eligible population.

• Nearly 2 million deceased individuals are listed as active voters.

• Approximately 2.75 million people have active registrations in more than one state.

• About 12 million records have incorrect addresses, meaning either the voters moved, or errors in the information make it unlikely any mailings can reach them.

Now not only has the fundamental right to vote in this Country in serious jeopardy but the very core premise that our Nation’s elections are free and accurate is in serious question.  The processes and systems used to register and maintain voter registrations must be updated.  This is a national imperative.  Voting is probably the only thing that most citizens do to participate in the governmental process.  If this basic entryway to our democratic process is  perceived to be unreliable and inaccurate, citizens will become even more jaded and refuse to participate and exercise the most fundamental of acts known to our Nation’s citizenry.  It’s bad enough that voter turnout is in steady decline but if the perception that the process is flawed and unfair, voter will feel why should they bother to vote.  If this trend continues, then we as a nation will never have true representative leadership in our Nation’s elected positions.

But as bad as that may be the truly distressing finding from the Pew study is that nearly 2 million DEAD people are listed as active voters!  Now I know you have seen them out there.  And I know you have seen them at polling places normally polling places in General Elections.  It could be that most times General Elections are held in the cooler month of November and the walking dead like the cooler weather (must be easier on the hair).  But something must be done to keep the walking dead from voting.  Now don’t think this is a new problem in 1940 Bob Hope identified this issue and the problem has been growing ever since .  Oh how we should have paid attention to Bob back then.

  1. The last step in Soros’s formula for toppling a nation is to create distrust of election results. He uses it to raise questions about the result and then to orchestrate a “popular” demand to over-turn the election and – next thing you know – you have a Soros-backed dictator in charge. Everything else has already been done and the structure is in place (i.e. Czars and bureaucrats have replaced elected officials). Now it would appear the groundwork to question the results of the next election are in place and, should Obama happen to lose the election, we should remember that he is part of Soros’s “Shadow Party.”

There are at least 5 other nations that have suffered the same fate we have been set up and are now primed to suffer. Where we may be inclined to laugh this off, somehow, I doubt the people in those 5 nations would share belief that it can’t and/or won’t happen.

  2. The point is that in America, there is only one side of the debate that protects policies that support illegitimate voting and that is the Democratic side, therefore, the appropriate conclusion is that, yes, the accusation is directed at the Democratic Party.

The policies that the Republicans support would equally apply to ending/reducing fraud from either side, the Democrat policies enable fraud from either side. Democrats are the only party that support voting by illegal aliens in local elections, something prohibited in national elections by the Constitution.

Draw your own conclusions, it is not partisan, it is a fact.

  3. Lovegrove, I think the GOP has its own method of madness. For instance, they are shoving Mitt Romney down our throats, and I have no idea why. Some people claim that it is the Federal Reserve and Wall Street pushing this agenda in order to keep the masses in line…. or on their SOMA.

Reckon I should’ve voted for my recently deceased grandma……Coulda made her part of the 7% of Ron Paul votes….

I really don’t understand how people can do this, though. I always must show my D.L.

    • ““GOP” is Gross Operating Profit? That fits.”

Can anyone help me out with this? Why do those who attack the right/GOP as “the Party of greed” always seem to dismiss how many “really rich” people are Democrats – and how many of those “rich Dems” are in bed with the govt.?

      • More acceptable? Then I’m sorry, but you and I see things from entirely opposite points of view. While they are not “good” in their practices, the Republicans are far from being as damaging to Man’s freedom as the Democrats (I am speaking strictly about leadership and agenda here – not the rank-and-file).

You need to know your feigned concern rings hollow in my ears now that I know the 180 degree rule applies to you, as well. One cannot claim any high ground when he sides with the devil, himself.

  4. Me, partisan? You haven’t read much of my work, have you?

But I will make this observation: I direct MY comments at Soros and an agenda/known pattern of behavior and YOU immediately connect that to a Party – the Democrat Party, no less. I can’t help but wonder why you see things in terms of Party when I was directing my comments at individuals. DO you not understand it is possible to have splinters within an organization which use it to pursue their own agendas?

  5. This may be slightly off topic, but here’s a little tidbit of info that might be of interest this election year; http://www.personalliberty.com/news/republican-leadership-reluctantly-accepting-paul/?eiid=

    An excerpt;

After a Conservative Political Action Conference lacking Presidential candidate Ron Paul and his zealous supporters, some Republican leaders are seeing the need to give the candidate a chance, according to The Washington Times.

The leadership points to Paul’s ability to energize the most passionate supporters and heavy support from young and first-time voters, a segment that the Republican party must attract if they are to beat President Barack Obama in the 2012 election.

I’ve been saying this all along…the longer Paul remains in the race, the better are the chances that some of his platform will be adopted by the eventual GOP winner. I’m just sayin’.
