Arab Spring run amok: “Brotherhood’ starts Crucifixions
Raymond Ibrahim, a fellow with the Middle East Forum and the Investigative Project on Terrorism, said the crucifixions are the product of who the Middle Eastern media call “partisans.”
Center for Security Policy Senior Fellow Clare Lopez cited chapter and verse from the Quran to explain that crucifixions are not simply normal for Islam; they’re demanded.
“Crucifixion is a hadd punishment, stipulated in the Quran, Sura 5:33, and therefore an obligatory part of Shariah,” Lopez said. “It’s been a traditional punishment within Islam since the beginning, even though it’s not exclusively Islamic. The Romans used it too.
This is Islam — the real Islam. For those who might wonder whether or not this is really in the Qur’an, I offer this translation from my Qur’an, translated by M.A.S. Abdel Haleem, a Muslim:
Quran, Sura 5:33,
“Those who wage war against God and His Messenger and strive to spread corruption in the land should be punished by death, crucifixion, the amputation of an alternate hand and foot, or banishment from the land:…”
NOTE: the Qur’an does not provide any guidance as to how to apply this punishment, but it does tell Muslims to be especially harsh on Christians and Jews.

Author Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs, an analyst of the Middle East and Islam, fully agrees and also cites the Quran.
“The Christians are in serious trouble because the Quran in Sura 9:29 commands Muslims to wage war against them and subjugate them, and they’re also identified with the hated West and the U.S.,” Geller said.
It is time that the Western world accept that those who have been sounding the alarm and ringing the warning bells about what Islam really teaches are telling the truth — not the Muslim apologists, and certainly not Muslim clerics. What we are seeing in the world today is not the result of “Radical Islam,” it is simply Islam: the same Islam that conquered much of the region it now occupies and which seeks to spread tot he rest of the world.
Remember, the symbol of Islam is the crossed swords, Muhammad said to spread Islam by the sword, and Muhammad said that heaven lies in the shadow of a sword. You will find no parallels such as this in any other of the world’s major religions: Islam is unique in its command to subdue or kill the world’s population.
