Just a thought for our friends on the Left who took the opportunity of the Katrina disaster to bash Bush:
Do you remember how you pointed your fingers of criticism and thumped your chest self-righteously, saying that “your side” could have and would have done better? Well, I would appreciate it if those of us on the Right would never have to hear your self-righteous hypocrisy again, thank you:

It would seem — in spite of his having claimed he could have done better — when it comes right down to it, Obama is no better at handling a natural disaster than Bush was and, perhaps, actually worse.
You cannot pretend to hold the moral high ground when you are — at best — no better than those you are criticizing/attacking — especially when you have to partially distort the truth to make your case in the first place. Maybe, if our friends on the Left truly want to foster a coming together, then just maybe they will start to look to the planks in their own eyes first. After all, I’m only asking for “fairness.”

Well, here’s CNN’s article: http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/03/us/tropical-weather-sandy/index.html?hpt=hp_t1
Obama’s name is not mentioned…..
CNN is a member of Pravda West. They could be sent to Siberia if they mention the Regime in a bad light.
And yet everyone from future presidential hopeful and Romney covention speaker Chris Christie to former republcian turned independent Bloomberg have had nothing but praise for Obamas handling, and FEMA’s response.
Have there been problems? of course- not least of which is crippled infrastructure to get supplies in. (and has Boehner or ANYONE in the GOP led house moved to fund or otherwise authorize relief beyond what FEMA is allowed to do?)
ah yes- but the evil federal government shuld be able to make everything better…overnight no less.
And to be fair here- let’s maybe point out that Bushs politcal appointee to head FEMA, who had no experience with disasters, and created a mess of not only Katrina, but the FL hurricanes the previous year, the buffalo snowtorms the following year, and the arkansas tornadoes and ca wildfires the year after that (whew!) led to requirements that the head of FEMA actually *gasp* have experience with disasters…
And let’s not even go down the road of Bush taking away FEMA’s independent status and rolling it under “Homeland Security”
I’m sure you must have overlooked my post, comrade – here’s a little excerpt for you:
And Bloomberg was a Democrat until 2001 when he wanted to run for mayor and couldn’t get nominated as one. Bloomie has always been a RINO.
House authorizing more aid beyond what FEMA is allowed to do? Has FEMA or Obama asked for additional aid? Hell, Bloomberg wont even let the National Guard in Brooklyn because they carry guns:
You are wrong about Brown’s handling of the disasters. He truly did a good job ion Florida. And between then and Katrina, FEMA became part of the Homeland Security bureaucracy, and he did not have the absolute authority that he enjoyed in Florida.
He got his photo-op. It was all Obama needed.
Or cared about…
I should like proof that CNN os getting funds from this administration.
Have you silly boys fallen back?
@ Kells,
Proof? Really?
Merely look at what & how CNN “Reports” what they choose.
Same goes for NBC and MSNBC, to be sure.
But how are they getting paid?
