Welcome to Panama City! This is something my sisters and I would frequently say when we got frustrated with any of the town’s shenanigans. Let me back up….
Tonight I was to see Ryan at the Marina Civic Center. I actually bathed and put on the war paint for this event. So as Mr. Kells and I are driving downtown, I notice all of these people walking. In my mind, I’m thinking they are foolish, as it will probably get cold tonight.
Well, when we get up there, they (the cops) have the road blocked to my favourite place to park (by the boats.) I like to park there because I can exit quickly and efficiently after a production.
So here they are, directing traffic to side streets around the civic center, and I thought the hell with that! I’m not walking 5 miles when there’s plenty of parking around the civic center! I told Mr. Kells just to take me out to eat; I will not deal with this bullshit. Sorry, but I’ll call a spade a spade.
Almost forgot (in my best redneck accent) Welcome to Panama City!
That is too bad; it would be good to hear Ryan speak. I really enjoy watching him tear into Democrats.
Panama City? And Romney in Pensacola recently? Not the I-4 Corridor?
It looks like they are concentrating on the redder parts of Florida. Interesting. I’m sure they know what they’re doing.
I thought it odd too. This place is a sealed deal for them. Maybe it was a morale boost? Or the seafood…..
Kells is making a big deal out of nothing. I came down to PC to see Ryan, and parking was easy. I was actually late getting in to town … arriving (literally behind Ryan’s motorcade). The West side of the marina was blocked (for access of the various candidates), but going down the east side was not a problem …. found a parking spot right next to the Civic Center.
Ryan spoke … and he was powerful (did not make it in time to see the other candidates).
Was a worthwhile weekend trip. Now off to the beach in the am for some sun, and then back to the grind for Monday.

You have a point. I did espy Augger and FL shopping for shoes the other day. When they saw me, they hastily moved to the men’s shoes.
