  1. Obamaphone eh? I assume you’re talking about the program started in 1984- under Reagan no less, that puts a surcharge on all telephone bills to help rural and poor consumers be able to afford basic phone service? The program which first started offering subsidized cellular service in 1996 under George Bush?

the service, known as Lifeline, which is not taxpayer funded?

    • Oh, my God!, You know what, you are right!

It was started under these guys to provide emergency land line services for the poor and those in rural areas… then the liberals got hold of it and as always happens with liberals in charge of anything, they fucked it up beyond all recognition, expanding it to a free phone frenzy with no requirements so that there are people getting 30 phones.

Just like your team to take a reasonable idea, totally and absolutely fuck it up so that it 1) does not do what it was intended to do, 2) costs 100 times more than ever anticipated, 3) is managed in no recognizable way and then 4) blame a Republican for starting it.

Standard liberal/Democratic playbook. Just like blaming Bush – works every time in every situation. I’m pretty sure that Bush set the 1906 San Francisco fire and he once owned Mrs. O’Leary’s cow.

But you did get who started it correct, so there is that.

      • Care to provide some evidence for your claims? Any evidence?

As stated- this is not from tax payer money- but from fees charged via the phone companies.

Has the cost increased with the switch in society from landline to cellular? Probably.

But please, by all means- show me evidence of what Obama, or those evel communist/socialst democrats has had to do with this.

      • No- actually, not a tax. A cost of doing business with government protection for your racket.

Call it a tax if you wish- but at the same time you r ilk choose to deny the massive subsidies these companies receive, in many forms, as a tax on the people. so…

        • Do you actually look at your phone bill or your cable bill? There are several extra ‘fees’ you have to pay. But they’re not really fees…they are TAXES. A ‘fee’ is just a TAX that’s added by regulation instead of being voted on by Congress. And Congress mandated these subsidies, the phone companies didn’t ask for them.
