Recently, I wrote a post asking for Obama supporters who are reading the RNL to help me by explaining and clarifying some questions I had about some fiscal issues facing our nation. Sadly, I didn’t receive many replies to my plea for help. Maybe there aren’t as many Obama readers on the RNL as I had thought, or maybe none of those who are here knew the answers. I don’t know, but I still have the same questions.
Now I have a few more. Maybe some of you Obama supporters can help me understand some of these:
What is liberty and how is it achieved?
What – exactly – is a right; from what or where is it derived and how is it secured and how is it provided for?
What is an entitlement; from what or where is it derived; how is it secured and how is it provided for?
What is “fairness:” how is it defined and what criteria are necessary to meet that definition?
How does “social justice” differ from regular justice?
What is racism; how is it defined and who is a racist?
What is a “hate crime,” and how is it differentiated from any other crime in which a person is harmed?
I have more questions, but these will suffice for the moment. As before, I am honest and sincere in asking for help understanding how those who support Obama and the agenda of the American Left see these issues. I am listening and I promise, I will listen to and carefully consider your reply. I will also be civil in any reply I may make to your comments. All I ask is that you take this opportunity to engage me in an honest, sincere and civil discussion in which I am seeking your help in making me understand where you think I am wrong in my position on these issues.
