More Anecdotal Connections Between Our Youth, Education System and Obama Voters

Since we have been discussing all three of these issues since the election, I find the video in this story to be especially relevant…and disheartening:

An Informed Electorate? You Won’t Believe How Little These Obama Voters Know About Our Gov’t

“The education of all children, from the moment that they can get along without a mother’s care, shall be in state institutions at state expense.”

–Karl Marx

“Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.”

–Vladimir Lenin

“Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society which is coming where everyone is interdependent.”

The teacher is engaged not simply in the training of individuals, but in the formation of the proper social life…. In this way, the teacher always is the prophet of the true God and the usherer-in of the true Kingdom of God.”
–John Dewey, father of the modern American education system

[INCIDENTALLY: Dewey was not referring to God in heaven; he believed man was god.  Don’t believe me? Thank Dewey and your education system.]

P.S. Do you think this story might be related to any of the rest of this in any way?
