Terrible news today. When will politicians find courage to ban automatic weapons? As in Oz after similar tragedy.

First, NONE of these weapons were automatic weapons.  If they had been, more people may have actually survived (without a good deal of training, most the rounds from an automatic weapon go up into the air.  They also consume their ammo much faster, which requires the shooter to carry more and change magazines more often, which gives people more time to get out of the way or rush him/her).

Second, the 2nd Amendment actually permits much more than what we are currently allowed to have.  As it is, most of the gun laws on the books are CLEAR VIOLATIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION!  Maybe we should take our hints from other countries, like Switzerland and Israel, for example?
