Isn’t This Level of Narcissism a Sign of Mental Defect?

What else can we say about this story other than that it is a clear indication that Obama suffers from a narcissistic personality disorder — especially given that this is far from the first such story, only the most recent indication that Obama’s disorder may be getting worse?

Watch Obama Mention Himself 63 Times in Just 100 Seconds — at Someone’s Funeral

Now, in my last post, a “would-be” mass murderer mentioned that he was driven by a sense of isolation. That bothered me as I found this in my research into narcissism and the related disorders:

How to Spot a Narcissist

Extreme narcissists tend to be persons who move towards eventually cutting others off and becoming emotionally isolated. There are all types of levels on that road to isolation. Narcissists come in all shapes, sizes, and degrees. I would like to address how a person becomes an extreme narcissist.

Narcissism, in lay terms, basically means that a person is totally absorbed in self. The extreme narcissist is the center of his own universe. To an extreme narcissist, people are things to be used. It usually starts with a significant emotional wound or a series of them culminating in a major trauma of separation/attachment. No matter how socially skilled an extreme narcissist is, he has a major attachment dysfunction. The extreme narcissist is frozen in childhood. He became emotionally stuck at the time of his major trauma of separation/attachment.

Which led me to this:

The Truth About Narcissism

Narcissists cut a wide, swashbuckling figure through the world.  At one end of the self-loving spectrum is the charismatic leader with an excess of charm, whose only vice may be his or her inflated amour-propre. At the far end of the spectrum reside individuals with narcissistic personality disorder, whose grandiosity soars to such heights that they are manipulative and easily angered, especially when they don’t receive the attention they consider their birthright. Here’s how to figure out whether the big talker in your office really believes his own hype.

It would seem that narcissistic people do have a propensity toward violence when they feel slighted, a tendency Obama has exhibited publicly. Now, given that Obama has granted himself the “authority” to imprison anyone he wishes indefinitely, and without any sort of hearing or recourse of action, and that he has given himself “authority” to assassinate any American he deems a “threat” to national security, don’t you think it might be time we visit the 25th Amendment?

  1. The real story is that the American people chose Barack Obama to be their president, twice. His politics and personality have never been a secret.

When Athens went down the tubes 2500 years ago, the same sort of sickness afflicted its citizens, too.

      • The people of Rome didn’t consciously choose their own demise like the people of Athens and America. The Fall of Rome was engineered and carried out by the Roman Ruling Class, no?

        • Charlie,

Ah, but the people of Rome proper only wanted their bread and circuses while the people in the farmlands still clung to their traditions and heritage. It was in Rome where the political corruption and moral decay laid low the Empire, not in the farmlands supporting it. In many ways, the fall of the Roman Empire is more analogous to our predicament than was Greece.

    • True history Charlie …BUT..remember Obama got almost 5 Million LESS votes this time….and Romney got MORE than McCain.

Only approx 26 % of the eligible voters voted him in 2012……The “American People” are Divided at Best….don’t forget the 62 Million Plus who Didn’t vote foe him.

      States Rights….Nullification…..Federalism !!!

  2. Yes the 25 Amendment, will put the lesser of the two evils in power. Is Bone Head Joe the lesser of the two evils? Looks like a no win situation.

    • Ken,

LOL, well, I would argue that the 25th could be used to instantly remove the VP on the same grounds — unless someone wants to seriously make the case that the VP is actually competent, that is. In which case, we can get the VP AND his defenders ;-)

      • Hello, Puddin. I won’t speak on myself as that would make me some sort of narcissistic megalomaniac. Then again, I am Cookie Superplum. (I’ve already mailed you a Christmas card with my autograph.) Calm down. I know it’s a treat.

Seriously, B., the Constitution is being ignored more than Cookie! (I like to refer to myself in the third person) Honestly, I don’t know why anyone’s sayin a Plum-Pants thing! I listened to a very good interview with Huckabee….I’ll try to find it….
