I understand that the theme of many of my posts might seem out of step with the author of this blog’s namesake, but then, that she did not understand the truth of which I speak was her single greatest failing, and the sole reason her philosophy can never rank alongside that of Jefferson and Locke. But still, history teaches that this is the truth, and if the likes of Voltaire can understand and admit to it, surely we who think ourselves the most “enlightened” in all of human history can do so as well:
