After a Miami judge doubled 18-year-old Penelope Soto’s bond from $5,000 to $10,000, the teen seemed more than a little bit surprised.
“Are you serious?!” she exclaimed. The judge quickly responded, “I am serious. Adios.”
That’s when Soto, as she exited the court room, cursed at the judge and flashed him her middle finger. He called her back to verify what she had just said.
Once he did, she got what was likely the shock of her week when he said, “I find you in direct criminal contempt. Thirty days in the county jail.”
Dumbass.

On the other hand…..An open question.. :
What makes having Contempt a Criminal offense….. ??? Not saying this teen didn’t need a wake-up call, she probably did…………But Judges, the Courts and the “Justice Dept” are out of control.
I agree, Don
But the police aren’t. They don’t carry the jumper cables…..smart and in control. They know that they may very well run across a most dangerous and predatory actor willing to wreak havok on Gotham! We mustn’t let them know that it takes 30-45 min. for actors to figure out how to use jumper cables……
