Assuming the last speaker was sincere in his words, this is as clear an example of the divide between those in our nation who seek to control and those who understand individual rights and liberty (not to mention their role and duty as elected representatives). I’ll leave you to decide the motivation behind the last sentence in the video, but I believe it comes from one of the members whose motion had just been defeated.

What a wonderful Mayor and the Vet who spoke can come sit next to me. I agree with the Mayor, that Vet makes me feel safer too.
