Heh.
News Watch, Fox’s media bias program, took on the media coverage of the State of the Union and Marco Rubio‘s awkward water bottle moment in his response. Kirsten Powers went after President Obama the hardest, criticizing the media for fawning over every single speech Obama says and derisively saying that being a liberal is more than just liking “every stupid idea” the president has.
Kirsten better be careful – over the past few weeks, she has said several things that make total sense. The liberal intelligentsia will revoke her membership if she keeps this up.
Kirsten’s critique of the SOTU speech was pretty hard on President TOTUS:
The president has only a few opportunities to speak to the nation, and he blew this one. It was so hackish, so devoid of any theme or purpose, that it makes one wonder whether part of Obama just wants to see how bad he can be before his cultists in the news media can see it. Every speech is exactly what they wish it to be, regardless of reality. His mainstream inaugural speech was treated as a liberal call to arms when it was no such thing. Of course, conservatives thought that. If Obama had announced he just joined the Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh would have seen it as proof that he was a socialist. But why liberals would confuse a boilerplate middle-of-the-road inaugural speech with Das Kapital will be forever befuddling.
I love this quote because it is such a prefect truth:
Every speech is exactly what they wish it to be, regardless of reality.
Amen, sister.
Then the big news the next day was what?
RUBIO TOOK A DRINK OF WATER DURING THE GOP REBUTTAL! HIS PRESIDENTIAL ASPIRATIONS ARE DASHED! OH, NOES!
The fact that the media decided to cover Marco Rubio taking a drink of water as if it was Watergate is proof that Powers is spot on.

Her article is very good. I think you just like her cause she’s hawt. Unfortunately, she did fail to mention the detrimental effects caused by Rubio’s ingestion of H2O. Hopefully, one day govt. will ration our supply of H2O as it causes, um, something really bad.
Kirsten is easy on the eyes…me likey…but water intoxication kills:
We must regulate.
Not so strange, after all. The Democrats have been merely trying to point out that water is in fact as deadly as guns. I do believe that they were appalled at Rubio’s televised consumption of water, and his blatant disregard for one’s health!
I tell you, I once entered the “Hold Your Beer for a Deer” contest. Let me just say that beer is far more safe. Also; I ate venison that night…..
