Sad Little Marxist, Hugo Chavez, A Hero Of The People…Was A Billionaire

Wow. Socialism really pays off…if you are in charge. I thought that this wasn’t supposed to happen when the bourgeois is overthrown and “the people” revolt to take over the means of production, wasn’t that right Komrade Karl?

Apparently nobody explained that to Hugo:

Criminal Justice International Associates (CJIA), a risk assessment and global analysis firm in Miami, estimated in a recent report that the Chávez Frías family in Venezuela has “amassed a fortune” similar to that of the Castro brothers in Cuba.

According to Jerry Brewer, president of CJIA, “the personal fortune of the Castro brothers has been estimated at a combined value of around $2 billion.”

“The Chávez Frías family in Venezuela has amassed a fortune of a similar scale since the arrival of Chávez to the presidency in 1999,” said Brewer in an analysis published in their website.

Brewer said that Cuba is receiving about $5 billion per year from the Venezuelan treasury and in oil shipments and other resources.

“We believe that organized Bolivarian criminal groups within the Chávez administration have subtracted around $100 billion out of the nearly $1 trillion in oil income made by PDVSA since 1999.”

Nobody understands capitalism…and apparent corruption…better than a commie.

As per usual, the little leftist sympathizers will overlook this little financial improvement in Chavez’s numbered accounts as they get all weepy and wistful with the passing of this “Man Of The People”:

Breaking: Hugo Chavez is dead; Update:Democratic rep mourns; Update: So does Jimmy Carter

  1. If Obama decides to leave the White House in 4 years just think of the stash he and Moochele will depart with. Will make Bill & Hillary look like saints.

  2. Chavez wasn’t a Marxist, He had more praise for jesus than he did For Marx. Castro is an oppurtunist, the only reason he is a commie is because the U.S.A didn’t recognize his government and he had no option except to turn to the USSR.

    • “Castro is an oppurtunist, the only reason he is a commie is because the U.S.A didn’t recognize his government and he had no option except to turn to the USSR.”

Well, since the Democrats were in control of the nation during that time (1961), I suppose we have to blame that on Bush as well.

Nevermind the fact that Castro was a card-carrying member of the Popular Socialist Party as early as 1946. Nevermind the fact that from 1948-1950 Castro became enamoured with the writings of Friedrich Engels, Vladimir Lenin, and Karl Marx (all the while marrying in to Blaart wealth). So nah, he was a fanboy of Communism long before the USA decided to not recognize his voilently hostile takeover of Cuba.

Sorry Karl, but your horse-shit sauce isn’t palatable. You might want to rework your secret recipe.

    • “Chavez wasn’t a Marxist, He had more praise for jesus than he did For Marx.”

Chávez, well versed in Marxism, and a self proclaimed follower of Leon Trotsky’s teachings once said :

“I want to tell you something before someone else tells you … I am a Trotskyist.” (2010)

Now Karl. I am not sure you have an understanding of what a Trotskyist is, so I will just save you the misery of having to research it. Trotskyism is the theory of Marxism as put forth by Leon Trotsky (imagine that).

Once again Karl, you were incorrect.

      Nuff said.

  3. And here it is Folks……..Karl comes and basically expresses : …. The current Administration’s excuse….the current Academic Excuse ….. “It wasn’t done right …. the Obama / Clinton Progressives will get Marxism/ Socialism right THIS Time….cause they’re smarter..”

    • you guys call any failure “socialism” and then we point out it is not Marxist. Then you accuse us of making excuses.

      • Karl,

No, we understand that words have definitions, and how to apply those definitions to actual policy so that we may properly identify them. I think what you are suffering from is the 180 degree rule: any failure CANNOT be socialism. In your eyes, socialism can never fail so, if it fails, it just wasn’t socialism (i.e. wasn’t done “right”).

It doesn’t matter how hard you wish things to change, Karl; desire cannot change objective reality and the natural order of the universe.

      • Not so Karl …. These are the words from the Administration’s supporters and appointees ( Clinton being the most High-Profile….Van Jones and Jarrett others ) and it is the Excuse given by any number od Academic apologists of Marxism .

      • “you guys call any failure “socialism” and then we point out it is not Marxist. Then you accuse us of making excuses.”

        Let’s get it straight, Karl.

Your all-encompassing stereotype is horseshit. I don’t call any economic or policy failure “socialism”. In fact, more often than not, I report the liberal agenda as it is … “regressive”, and “divisive”, and more often than not, I just declare you ignoramuses either afflicted with a “mental disorder”, or just succinctly state that you are all “dolts”. Furthermore, your movement hasn’t graduated to “Marxist” … don’t flatter yourself, you just haven’t learned enough to be complete totalitarians yet. You knuckle heads blunder all around Marxism like a Rhino walking amongst fine china simply breaking everything around you. You are blunt, and unrefined. Instead, the moniker “proto”-Marxists is more applicable to your misanthropic ideology.

        We clear?

  4. you guys call any failure “socialism” and then we point out it is not Marxist. Then you accuse us of making excuses.

    And for the UMPTEENTH time,
Show us where your system has EVER worked!
Sh–, or get off the pot!

  5. During the Chavez years…..
Murders went up, and inflation is a problem. But per capita income under Chavez rose150%, unemployment was halved, the infant mortality rate dropped 30%, the number of families living in extreme poverty dropped dramatically, and oil exports have soared!

Meanwhile Honduras has a leader backed by a murderous, brutal military, and a murder rate almost twice as high as that of Venezuela, but I hear no cries of outrage. Can it be because The Honduras totalitarians are right-wing panderers to the ruling class, the same ilk that ran Venezuela for years, whose corruption made Chavez look like a viable alternative?

And, by any metric, Venezuela is a better place to live than either Iraq or Afghanistan, countries where our beneficient guiding hand has failed to do what Chavez did in Venezuela. Namely, leave it better than he found it.

Okay, ignore all those facts, time to attack the messenger.

Nope, we will continue to support the crooks in Honduras, until we get another high-minded but economically challenged despot in yet another country where greed ran rampant.

  6. Nice typically flippant argument Melfamy. I particularly enjoyed:

“Nope, we will continue to support the crooks in Honduras, until we get another high-minded but economically challenged despot in yet another country where greed ran rampant.”

So do us all a favor (extending this thought), and go talk to your little proto-Marxist friends in the Democratic Party and ask them to stop sending our hard earned tax dollars to foreign proto-Marxist’s across the world, and just instead … not make a choice between assisting the disabled child, or the poor child here in our own country over the sequestration.

    Sincerely, your liberty-loving Constitutionalist,

    -Augs

    Wow!
Hats off to you Augs, That sez it all!
