Via The Blaze. Governor Rick Perry, fellow Texan and avid hobo hunter, says that the electorate didn’t reject conservatism because we haven’t run a conservative – he says in 2008 and 2012 but the truth is that we haven’t had a conservative in the national race since Reagan:
After beginning his speech with the line “God bless Texas” at CPAC Thursday afternoon, Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry said the popular media narrative that the U.S. has shifted away from conservatism is false. He slammed the establishment GOP for not nominating true conservatives in the last two elections.
“That’s what they think. That’s what they say,” Perry said. “That might be true if Republicans had actually nominated conservative candidates in 2008 and 2012.”

Rick Perry is not a conservative, he is a big statist.
Did you notice that they ever so delicately left out the hobo hunts? I will say that they were paid handsomely to do so, and you should be pleased! It so happens that you were included in the original piece Did you know that? After momentarily passing out from perusing their first draft, I took action. (Who needs a gun when you’ve got a whip?) So, yes; you should give me a raise. I let them keep the pic. of Rick because, um, well, he’s hawt. (Don’t get me wrong: You still look better in a tux.)
Rick Perry, lets see: 2007 Bilderberg attendee. He also made P3s a focus of his Texas platform; P3s (Private Public Partnerships) are a centerpiece for Agenda21
Why, exactly, are we discussing this guy? He’s already proven himself to be part of the globalist problem.
We had propert tax reform in 2008/9 guided by Perry and Republican Senate and House. Supposed to reduce PT by 30% by replacing with a business excise tax on businesses with over $1 million in sales. So now the county tax authority reduced the rates but increased the values and canned some form of valuation reduction. My taxes dipped for a couple of years and now they are just as high as before. Go figure. In my view property taxes are proof that you really never own your house or land. Failure to pay means confiscation.
Most people don’t really get this….”.In my view property taxes are proof that you really never own your house or land. Failure to pay means confiscation.”
But this is the absolute Truth. In all but the most unusual Circumstances, your house is actually a financial Liability not an asset. In areas and Times where housing prices are accelerating higher and faster than Property Taxes and inflation combined you have an Asset…..BUT only if you sell. Land and Property that generates income is an asset….but only if you are beating P Taxes and inflation AND Expenses of upkeep. You could leave out inflation and just count the Free Cash flow to put to work in other areas that do beat inflation. But sitting on property doesn’t automatically meanasset growth.
I actually posted this for what he said, not who he is. He spoke the truth about not having a true conservative. Neither Bush I nor II was and neither was Bob Dole.
