[Yet, the Courts and Left forcibly push religion from any and all aspects of public life – in violation of the Constitution and will of the people. The 1st Amendment guarantees freedom of – not from – religion. SO much for democracy where freedom of conscience is concerned.]

We can go on, but – if you are among the rational – I think I’ve made my point about how much the Left likes ‘democracy.’ It doesn’t; it just likes to claim it supports democracy because it is an idea near and dear to the heart of most Americans. But, as with most things connected to the Left’s agenda, we need to apply the 180 degree rule to everything the Left says.

I think the Numbers are higher than 56-53% in favor of the Bible being an important part of America’s history and traditions …. I speak to folks who aren’t Christian and some who don’t even believe in God who still feel that the Bibles is important and should not be overlooked and dissed in our Culture. Seems like the truer number might be more like in the high 60’s %.

So, I’ll buy that the poll is true. Does that mean we legislate the Bible? Or Christianity? Or Christian law?

The Constitution is based on Judea/Christian ethic — which is why you are allowed your individual rights and liberty. This is not the case under Sharia.
Christ did NOT command that Christians force our faith on anyone: quite the contrary. We are to tell you about Christ and offer Him to you, but if you refuse, we are to leave you to yourself.
Islam will just take your head if you refuse to convert/submit.

The Constitution is based on the system used by Freemasons. And Freemasons acknowledge, in fact require, faith.

1 — The Declaration is based in NT philosophy. The pursuit of happiness was a legal concept at the time, firmly rooted in Christian teaching.
2 — Franklin is the one who said the Constitution was based on OT principles, but it must be remembered that the OT IS part of Christianity.
3 — Ishmael is NOT part of the Jewish faith. Abraham was told — by God — to send him and his mother into the wilderness. He became the founder of those peoples who now follow Islam, and Islam is the negation of the Judea/Christian faith — NOT an extension of it.

Pino, I believe we have been legislating Christian law by systematically removing it from our schools, govt., and courthouses, then simultaneously, we seem to be infiltrating churches with the govt. (Rev. Wright comes to mind…. amongst others.)
To be fair, it would seem that we should treat Islamic law the same way that Christian law has been treated.

We certainly are removing the ability of a government official to be faithful.
And yes, we are passing laws that are really taking the place of good parenting [Mayor Bloomberg].
I also think that we as a society should focus more on the Bible. I would just be careful of legislating that.
Well, I think the founders saw to that. They knew very well the outcome of abiding by state laws as well as with canon laws at the same time. I read a very interesting case on this by a fella in England from the 17th century. The founders had to have been keen on this case…….

I have this discussion all the time. The leftists want results to be more, if not exactly, equal. Everyone should have access to the best goods, the best foods and the best medical care. And everyone has to contribute to society.
They do not, however, know how to handle the individual who refuses to work his fair share.
The founders expressly rejected Democracy as the tyranny of the masses.
