If Our Colleges Actually Educated, Obama Would Have Been Shouted Off Stage Over Saying This

If our colleges actually educated our students rather than indoctrinating them; if they still taught real history and explained the lessons we should learn from the past, Obama would have been heckled chased shouted off the stage with shouts of tyrant for saying this:

Obama to College Students: ‘Reject These Voices’ That Warn of Big Government & Tyranny

Still, you’ll hear voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s the root of all our problems, even as they do their best to gum up the works; or that tyranny always lurks just around the corner. You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave, creative, unique experiment in self-rule is just a sham with which we can’t be trusted.

We have never been a people who place all our faith in government to solve our problems, nor do we want it to. But we don’t think the government is the source of all our problems, either. Because we understand that this democracy is ours. As citizens, we understand that America is not about what can be done for us. It’s about what can be done by us, together, through the hard and frustrating but absolutely necessary work of self-government.

[...]

The cynics may be the loudest voices—but they accomplish the least. It’s the silent disruptors—those who do the long, hard, committed work of change—that gradually push this country in the right direction, and make the most lasting difference. [Emphasis added]

But today, our college graduates know and understand less than someone with just an 8th grade education from the 1800’s, so they cheered Obama instead of recognizing him for what he is – a tyrant.

How does one claim our founders heritage while, at the same time, dismissing the threat of large and omnipotent government?

How does one tell students to reject the warnings of nearly half (or more) of their fellow citizens while applauding the experiment of self-government?

How can one call this nation a democracy when it declares itself to be a Republic?

Worse, how would one miss the crucial difference, and if the difference is not actually missed, then why would one insist that we are a democracy when the same founders you just applauded specifically rejected democracy because it always ends in tyranny?

And the, how does one miss that, after praising the nation’s heritage, this same man then applauds those who secretly work to change it from within and not recognize he is a tyrant who seeks to subvert the very foundations of this great country he pretends to be praising?

None of this would be possible if it weren’t for the fact that we have had our money forcibly taken from us through heavy taxation, then used against us to indoctrinate our children until they become mind-numbed drones, programmed to support the State against all reason.

Obama is a tyrant.  His words prove it.  His deeds prove it.  The direction he is shoving this country – and in direct opposition to the very democratic principles he supposedly supports – proves it.  Anyone who believes or sides with this man has renounced the use of reason and does not deserve to call themselves American.

Yes, I most certainly mean that – because it is the truth!

  1. He’s describing the administrative state. Personally, I have no problem with government BY the people, which generally would require term limits (provided in the old days by short life spans and the need to work a real job to support oneself) and Congress getting serious about reducing the fourth “invisible” branch of government which has altogether too much power in today’s government. Obama does a clever sleight of hand, here. He makes the students think conservatives are cynical about representative government when we’re really cynical about the administrative state.

I know this because of conversations I’ve had with my 20-year-old’s friends. When a sane person actually explains it to them, it makes perfect sense, but it’s an easy argument to manipulate and Obama — dang it! — is very good at it.
