How About Letting Russian Troops Provide Security For Next Super Bowl?

Think that is a long shot?  Me too, but then, there might be more of a chance than even I would like to acknowledge.  This comes from one of those sources that you have to be careful with, so read the links – ALL of them – and decide for yourself.  Then understand, Russian troops have been conducting “military exercises” in my neck of the woods – complete with their own weapons and live ammo.

Russian Forces to Provide “Security” At US Events

As part of a deal signed last week in Washington DC between the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry and FEMA, Russian officials will provide “security at mass events” in the United States, a scenario that won’t sit well with Americans wary of foreign assets operating on US soil.

According to a press release by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense and Emergencies, US and Russian officials met on June 25 at the 17th Joint U.S.-Russia Cooperation Committee on Emergency Situations.

In addition to agreeing with FEMA to “exchange experts during joint rescue operations in major disasters,” the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry will also be providing “security at mass events” in the United States.

Now, before you dismiss the claim because you dislike the source, consider this:

Media buzz as US confirms Russian troops to train on American soil

The Blaze

Report: Russian Troops to ‘Seize’ CIA Facility in Elaborate War Game… on U.S. Soil

Do you realize this breaks several U.S. laws AND violates the spirit of the Constitution?  Oh, Obama’s “flexible” alright – flexible like Gumby.

Next time somebody tells you that this nation can be taken over like any other, and you start to dismiss them because of the U.S. military, or the fact that we have weapons, stop and remember this story — especially in light of the multi-pronged attacks on the People’s right and ABILITY to keep and bear arms.

ADDENDUM:

On his 7-2-2012 radio program, beck advised us that the Info Wars story that has been picked up and spread around the internet reports that the Obama Administration as already signed the deal with the Russians WHEN IT HAS NOT BEEN SIGNED YET!  In other words, according to Beck, Obama is just ‘talking” about working with the Russians.  Info Wars has jumped the gun.

But do not relax.  This is not a “nothing to worry about” story.  Obama IS talking to the Russians about this “cooperation.”  OK, now, ask yourself why.  Where was Russia after Katrina?  After Sandy?  After any of our major tornado strikes in the past few years?  Where has Russia EVER come to our aid in time of disaster?  So why are we talking to them about helping us now?  And then there are the REAL stories about Russian troops training with Russian weapons on U.S. soil.  The connection between Gumby Obama and Vlady-Vlad Putin is real, and it IS something about which we should be concerned — very concerned.

  1. Where and when are US Troops going to Train in Russia I wonder.

Will they “sieze” the Elementary School at Beslan in an Excercise ?? ………Since the muslim terrorists managed to outsmart the Russian “Security “forces on that one Big-time.

  2. “so read the links – ALL of them”

OK, I did, Joe (along with the links within those stories) — did you? If so, you undoubtedly noticed that the last three (the ones from rational sources) are all about the same event, that they contradict each other, and that even the headline for the most recent, most comprehensive one was wrong (as noted in a correction at the bottom of the story). But I’m sure those 22 paratroopers who had to watched around the clock will provide a great deal of security for the next Super Bowl. :-)

You’re reaching tonight, Joe — maybe you could have Dusty write something for you. Oh, yeah, you’d just have to pull it after agreeing with it, right? ;-)

  3. Dusty better get some Under Armor briefs. I do fear that McPherson has a boner for ole’ Dusty over there.

  4. This is a topic that I’m torn about. Alex Jones has been reporting a lot on this, and I thought him to be nutty. Then I started hearing the locals chime in (particularly about Russian aircraft/troops in Eglin.) I feel it is plausible, and strategically it is brilliant. What better time to make a move?

  5. The Super Bowl mentioned by Watson’s list (linked) in the Infowar article as a National Security event occurred in 2002 – some 11 years ago. I don’t remember hearing that Russian troops provided security for that event. For him to pull that list of NSSEs and use in a current article was a stretch. Watson cobbled together a bunch of old articles and a video made by Michael Savage (also at Infowars) to present his extremely biased view of something that has been happening through preceding administrations – that being foreign troops training on US soil. Propaganda from the extreme right.

    • FC,

True — except for the fact that there have been many stories about this actually happening (see the three different links from the Left, Right and whatever I included). But still, I am NOT sold out on this story, and have added an addendum to the post to explain that. The problem is that Obama DOES seem to be thinking about something he ha no reason to even consider. That IS something that should concern us — especially given Obama’s track record.
