LGBT Reaction to Obama’s Statement of Personal Belief: Jack McFarland Finds A New Boyfriend

This clip of Jack from the old NBC TV show, Will and Grace, is an apt illustration of the irrational reaction of the media and the gay community to Obama’s “coming out”. Just substitute Kool-Aid for Jack’s coffee, Obama for the name of Jack’s new infatuation, Paul, and the bag Jack has for one from the LGBT for Obama Party Pack sold at Obama’s Pander Bear Shoppe and it is spot on. It is soooo totally super fantastic Andrew Sullivan-like.

Obama’s exact quote from the ABC interview was this:

At a certain point, I’ve just concluded that– for me personally, it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that– I think same-sex couples should be able to get married.

Those three little words: “for me personally” change the context of the whole statement. It takes it from an official position of the President of the United States to the personal opinion of a citizen. It is a “get out of jail free” card for Obama but the LGBT community and the media just didn’t hear those words.

Obama’s statement isn’t policy, it is politics. Big difference.

All of Obama’s statements come with caveats and expiration dates – we all know that. They know that – but just try to tell that to a drama queen in love… They have found a new boyfriend – just like Jack did.

Maybe he isn’t Mr. Right, but I guess Mr. Right Now is OK, and Obama sure fits that bill.

Stacy McCain notes that the black clergy really aren’t doing the Jack McFarlane dance.

  2. I thought you were going to say that the media shouldn’t drink so much coffee because they are spinning out of control. By the by, I loved that clip. I’ve only seen a few episodes of that show, but I thought the cast was very talented.

  3. Ditto, Utah.
The media is just soooo excited that their dreamboat finally **noticed** them, they’re just giggling too hard to notice that he didn’t actually “ask them to the Prom”.

Doesn’t matter. The Newsweek cover is, even now, being cut out into little heart-shapes throughout the newsrooms of America. You know, kids and their crushes…..

    • Obama and the Democrats have turned into a parody of themselves. For the last month, every story could have come straight from pages of The Onion.

      • Agreed. They have lost the ability to perceive their own absurdity, somewhat like a drunk trying to convince you that HE’s the sober one.

And then they wonder with utter sincerity why their viewer- and reader-ship continue to plummet.

  4. Let me see now, who was it that said there would come a time where these people would drop their masks and start admitting who they really are? Who, who, who, if I only knew…?

I KNOW! Heck, it was a guy named Beck! 😀

  5. It really doesn’t matter to much of America what he says, they only hear the way the LSM portraits it to be understood. Enough Koolaid and everything comes out as a plus for him. Even though he did almost the exact opposite of most of what he campaigned for 4 years ago, he is still their idol.
