Hanoi Jane

This was an e-mail that was sent to me by my dad…… Unfortunately, I can’t figure out how to get the pics over here…

She has now been chosen to play Nancy Reagan in her life story.
I am sending this one out because so many do not know this truth…
and also because she was on 3 times this week talking about her new book…
And how good she feels in her 70’s… she still does not know what she did wrong..her book just may not make the best list if more people knew…

Barbara Walters said:
Thank you all. Many died in Vietnam for our freedoms.
I did not like Jane Fonda then and I don’t like her now.

She can lead her present life the way she wants and perhaps SHE can forget the past, but we DO NOT have to stand by without comment and see her “honored” as a “Woman of the Century.”

(I remember this well)

For those who served and/or died. . .

and now President OBAMA wants to honor her……!!!!

In Memory of LT. C.Thomsen Wieland who spent 100 days at the Hanoi Hilton [Famous North Vietnam Prison]

This is for all the kids born in the 70’s and after who do not remember, and didn’t have to bear the burden that our fathers, mothers and older brothers and sisters had to bear.

Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the ‘100 Women of the Century.’

Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country, but specific men who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War.

The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot.
The pilot’s name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat.
In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho Lo Prison the ‘ Hanoi Hilton.’

Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ’s, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American ‘Peace Activist’ the ‘lenient and humane treatment’ he’d received.

He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was dragged away. During the subsequent beating, he fell forward on to the camp Commandant ‘s feet, which sent that officer berserk.

In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from double vision (which permanently ended his flying career) from the Commandant’s frenzied application of a wooden baton.

From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E’s). He spent 6 years in the ‘ Hanoi Hilton’…the first three of which his family only knew he was ‘missing in action’. His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the cleaned-up, fed and clothed routine in preparation for a ‘peace delegation’ visit.

They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that they were alive and still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his Social Security Number on it, in the palm of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man’s hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: ‘Aren’t you sorry you bombed babies?’ and ‘Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?’ Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper.

She took them all without missing a beat.. At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little pieces of paper…

Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day.

I was a civilian economic development advisor in Vietnam , and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years.

I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one year in a cage in Cambodia ; and one year in a ‘black box’ in Hanoi . My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Banme Thuot , South Vietnam , whom I buried in the jungle near the Cambodian border. At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs)

We were Jane Fonda’s ‘war criminals….’

When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi , I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with her. I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received… and how different it was from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her as ‘humane and lenient.’

Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched with a large steel weight placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane.

I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda soon after I was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV. She never did answer me.

These first-hand experiences do not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of ‘100 Years of Great Women.’ Lest we forget….’ 100 Years of Great Women’ should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of so many patriots.

There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane’s participation in blatant treason, is one of them. Please take the time to forward to as many people as you possibly can.. It will eventually end up on her computer and she needs to know that we will never forget.

  1. One single group of 7 POW’s met with Jane Fonda, they all volunteered to meet with her, and no one tried to slip her any messages. Bot Carrigan and Driscoll deny ever meeting Fonda.

    • And the picture of Hanoi Jane sitting on the North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun that was used to shoot down U.S. aircraft was faked as well? Jane Fonda can apologize until Hell freezes over. All she deserves is to be deported and banned from ever re-entering this country. Still more Obama shit.

      • Those US aircraft were blowing the craploa out of N Vietnam.
I know it doesn’t matter, but here is Jane Fonda on the picture…
” Here is my best, honest recollection of what happened: someone (I don’t remember who) led me towards the gun, and I sat down, still laughing, still applauding. It all had nothing to do with where I was sitting. I hardly even thought about where I was sitting. The cameras flashed … It is possible that it was a set up, that the Vietnamese had it all planned. I will never know. But if they did I can’t blame them. The buck stops here. If I was used, I allowed it to happen … a two-minute lapse of sanity that will haunt me forever … But the photo exists, delivering its message regardless of what I was doing or feeling. I carry this heavy in my heart. I have apologized numerous times for any pain I may have caused servicemen and their families because of this photograph. It was never my intention to cause harm.”

        • That was one of the pics, G. The other was a side-by-side of her and Nancy Reagan, and then there was a mugshot of her. I’ll try and see if F. can post them for me….

I do find it odd to have her portraying Nancy Reagan. Then again, I’ve portrayed a nun four times. ๐Ÿ˜‰

        • Again, she can apologize until the day she dies, but it will never be enough. /She had no business over there supporting the NVA in the first place. Others (Bob Hope, etc.) were supporting the U.S. She and Tom Hayden (and others) were lying their liberal asses off supporting the other side. See the photographs in my last post.

    • I should like to know if the e-mail is false. It really sucks that I can’t bring up the pics (I’ll have to have Mr. Kells do that,) because they were very telling….

Agreed as to the acting. She is always the same…(actors must be diversionary, dishonest and pompous….) ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Whether you like Fonda or not, it would behoove you to actually check your sources before regurgitating propaganda–unless you want readers to mistake your posts for Joe’s, Kells. Almost everything about this post is false, and old, and has been repeatedly discredited–as a quick Google search would show you. Of course a few birthers might buy it. ๐Ÿ™‚ http://www.factcheck.org/2010/11/blame-jane-falsehoods/

    • “Of course a few birthers might buy it” — careful now James. We have Chick-Fil-A on our side. Use of hate terms such as “birthers” has been declared forbidden by your fellow liberals. Keep up with the times man! ๐Ÿ™‚

      • “We have Chick-Fil-A on our side.”

How do you figure? Is Dan Cathy now a Trump-style birther, or regurgitating inane and obviously dishonest emails that end up making conservatives look like idiots?

No, he spoke his mind (as he has every right to do, even if I disagree with his views), people protested (which they have every right to do, though I disagree with the boycott), and lots of idiots turned the whole thing into a political event: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/04/us/taking-sides-on-chick-fil-a-is-a-temptation-few-can-resist.html

        • Holy Sh*t, a Marxist who supports the constitution? Who’d have ever thunk it.

James, there are those who wear the boxer shorts with the tag in the back as designed, those that wear the tag in the front, and then those that flip-flop back and forth.

But we call that evolving, right? ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. http://www.1stcavmedic.com/jane_fonda.htm

In 1972 Jane Fonda, Tom Hayden and others traveled to North Vietnam to give their support to the North Vietnamese’s Government. When she returned to the United States, she advised the news media that all of the American Prisoners of War were being well treated and were not being tortured.

    • Fonda obviously was/is an idiot. But those who pass along inane emails without checking basic facts end up making conservatives look like idiots. Which is OK with me, of course. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. FL- your link had the same pics (sans the Reagan/ Fonda one) that I had in my e-mail. Your link was far more informative than my e-mail.

SBJ – Are you talkin to me? I do believe I’ve about had it with you silly boys calling me the Dumbo of the lot. Don’t forget that Dumbo could fly.

    • Definitely not calling you the Dumbo of this lot, Kells. ๐Ÿ™‚ But forwarding the post without doing a quick search was a mistake of the type I see a lot of (the Kenyan birth certificate, Obama supposedly removing crosses from military cemeteries, etc.). And those viral errors make it too easy for opponents to broad-brush conservatives as stupid.

    • Kells – If you follow the link at the end of the article I linked to, you will see “Jane Fonda, Urban Legends”. It explains this email that you posted in detail. For the most part, the email is false, but it does hold some truth. Follow all of the links on the article for the information you seek.

      • After I follow all of FL’s links, I’m gonna take you flying, baby. I figure at 15/week you can’t be afraid of heights. ๐Ÿ˜‰

SBJ, unfortunately, I had to demote my editor due to his incompetence with regards to a Rule 5; so I’m on my own. I notice that you don’t comment on the posts that are straight from the horse’s, er, elephant’s mouth…..

            • You’re just an Independent cuss like Wills, aren’t ya? What I don’t understand is, given your logic and reasoning, how the hello can you not concede on some very valid conservative points? Then again, you have at times…… You confound me, SBJ.

              • “concede on some very valid conservative points? Then again, you have at times”

Yes, I have. And I don’t see folks here conceding on valid liberal points, even if some of them have to twist themselves a bit to disagree with me. ๐Ÿ™‚

                “You confound me, SBJ.”

Well, as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.” Today he’d probably include bloggers among his “little philosophers.”

                • But a consistency that is not foolish should be admired, I think. And I do believe I have conceded to you on issues (perhaps only in my mind as I prefer to be the spanker….)

                • “consistency that is not foolish should be admired, I think. And I do believe I have conceded to you on issues”

Both true. My reference was to many across the blogosphere, including a few others here.

                • “Speaking for yourself, I hope.”

Perhaps–I certainly don’t consider myself to be mouch of a philosopher (and not at all a statesman or a clergyman). But you guys really can’t criticize me for being too consistent and too inconsistent on the same thread, can you? ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. “why do you think it is justifiable to โ€œmake stuff upโ€? i donโ€™t.”

I don’t, either–I was being facetious. And despite Kells’ assertion that she “shall never know,” we can know this about as well as we can know anything. I provided three sources, including at least one that interviewed the guy who supposedly wrote this–and he denied it. We could also check the original coverage of Fonda’s trip and see that what’s here just doesn’t match up with what happened. I’m not saying Fonda was right in her actions–I’m just saying that the actions attributed to her above never happened. And unless Kells’ daddy was there–rather than just forwarding an old message from another friend or taken off of a conservative blog–he’s no authority on the issue, however smart he might be.
