The President, Islam and Protecting America

If this post is to have the effect I’d like it to have, I need a favor from you.  If you would, could you try to set aside whatever personal feelings or impressions you have about me, about the President, about politics in America – about the world, even – and try to just read this post as dispassionately as you can.  Try to read it as though it was something you had to read in a history class about something that happened a long time ago.  Would you try to do that…please?

We are being polarized as a nation.  We are being set against each other over many different issues, and we are taking sides against each other, often times, without consciously making the choice – we simply accept the label that has been thrust upon us.  Think about it for a moment: have you ever found yourself defending a group that someone else stuck you in without ever asking you if you wanted to be part of that group?  Or better still, have you ever found yourself defending a group without having ever thought about whether or not that group’s interests are the same as your interests?  Party politics is just one example of how this happens.  The Democrats defend their Party and Republicans defend theirs and no one ever stops to think about whether or not their Party is correct – we just defend “our team” because it is “our team.”  Race, socio-economic class and religion are other “classes” that are used to divide us and set us against each other without letting us take time to think about whether or not we are actually defending our best interests.

I want to focus on one specific example that has had us fighting among ourselves for more than four years.  However, I do not want to make accusations or draw conclusions for you.  Instead, I want to ask you to read and watch the following, the whole time, asking yourself whether or not you would accept the explanations you’ve been given if you were looking back on this as though it were a history lesson about something that happened long ago.  In other words, set aside your allegiances to whatever group or groups may cloud your judgment and look at everything I present as a whole.  Then, do with it whatever you will.  All I ask is that you actually give it some serious thought and ask yourself if what we’re told today will make sense a hundred years from now.

The issue at hand is the debate over our President’s personal belief when it comes to the question of faith.  Here’s what we have to date:

1 – We know he was born Muslim.  His father was a Muslim, and, according to Islamic law, this makes the son a Muslim.

2 – We know he went to a Madrassa, or Muslim school.  This is a rough equivalent to a Catholic parochial school.   Religious teaching and memorization of the Qur’an is mandatory.

3 – We know that Obama has essentially acknowledged this, as well as intentionally drawn attention to Islam in his past:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCAffMSWSzY&feature=related

4 – We know that the Rev. Wright has said he made it easy for Obama to accept Christianity without having to give up his Islamic faith:

Jeremiah Wright: I “Made It Comfortable” For Obama to Accept Christianity Without Having to Renounce Islam (Video Report)

5 – We know that there is a strong parallel between Black Liberation Theology, the theology of Rev. Wright and Obama’s Church, and that of Islam:

Islam and Black Liberation Theology

Barack Obama has closely aligned himself with Reverend Jeremiah Wright and Black Liberation Theology (BLT). When viewed from the Christian point-of-view, BLT is a strange creed, but when seen from the standpoint of Islam, there is a very strong parallel.

Islam and BLT are theologies that have a political goal of making all politics submit to their demands. Submission is the political goal.

6 – We know that the Qur’an tells us that Muhammad is the perfect human and, thus, the perfect example to model our life after (this is where the Hadith enters Islam, and the Qur’anic verse that gives authority to the Hadith):

Qur’an 33:21 “Indeed in the messenger of Allah, you have the most perfect example…”

7 – We know that the Hadith (sayings and actions of Muhammad) record that Muhammad commanded that “apostates” (those who reject or leave Islam) should be killed:

Muslim 623 The Prophet said: “It is not permissible to take the life of a Muslim except in one of the three cases: the married adulterer, a life for a life (if the person is Muslim), and the deserter of Islam.”

Bukhari 9:89:271 A man embraced Islam and then reverted back to Judaism Mu’adh said: “I will not sit down unless you kill him as it is the verdict of Allah and His Apostle”

Bukhari 4:52:260 Ali burnt some people (Zanadiqa, atheists 9:84:57) although the Prophet had said, “Don?t punish anybody with Allah‘s punishment (Fire)” if a Muslim discards his religion, kill him”

8 – We know that, not only has no Muslim tried to kill Obama, but rather, many Muslims have acted favorably toward him – especially in the Middle East:

Why is Obama in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood?

9 – On the campaign trail in 2008, Obama mentioned 57 States.  We were told this was just fatigue, and it may have been, but no American should ever be so tired as to make the mistake of thinking there are 57 States.  What’s more, if you watch the video, you will see he did stop to think before he spoke; he even mentioned Alaska and Hawaii:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrsBKGpwi58

This article may help present a more plausible explanation for this supposed gaff by Obama:

57 Islamic States of Obama

Although the blogs went wild,  I did not pay much mind to Obama’s flub because people make mistakes and the disaster of an Obama presidency is  far more dangerous than the stupidity of not knowing how many states there are in the union. But when Ardeshir Dolat emailed me and pointed to the source of the 57 states on Obama’s mind, it made me think.

The Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is an international organization with a permanent delegation to the United Nations. It groups 57 nations, most of which are Islamic, from the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, Caucasus, Balkan, Southeast Asia, South Asia and South America

10 — We know that Obama, himself, slipped and referenced “his Muslim faith” in an interview in which the reporter had to correct him, a mistake no Christian would ever make:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMUgNg7aD8M

11 – We have the speculation that Michelle Obama has never accompanied Obama to the Middle East because Obama is adhering to Islamic Law:

WHY MICHELLE CAME HOME – Interesting! Sheppard Smith, Fox News.

12 – We have evidence that President Obama has a “Muslim-Friendly” agenda which has been made into U.S. policy – in many cases, in contradiction to long-standing alliances with other nations:

KUHNER: Obama’s Islamic agenda

He embraces the Muslim world and turns his back on us

KUHNER: Obama’s Islamic agenda – Washington Times

Muslim agenda of the Obama administration

(READ THIS ONE – ALL THE WAY DOWN!!!)

13 – We know that there is evidence suggesting that the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamic organizations that have been directly linked to terrorist groups have infiltrated our government at all levels – even to DHS and the White House:

Popular Canadian ‘Marxist’ Muslim: Obama Has ‘White Man’s Guilt’ & Sharia ‘Has No Place In Islam’

14 – We know that Obama has supported Islamic nations seeking to rebuild the Caliphate (The ‘New” Egypt, Iran, Turkey, etc) and has helped to topple Islamic nations that would oppose the creation of a new Caliphate (The ‘Old” Egypt, Libya, Syria, etc).

15 – We know that Obama turned down a chance to have a respected Cardinal speak at the DNC Convention this year, and instead, he invited a radical Islamic group to hold prayers – a group connected directly to Islamic leaders who have sworn to destroy the U.S.:

Obama Refused Cardinal’s Prayers at DNC but Lists Muslim Jumah Prayers as “official function”

DNC Proceeds With 2-Hour Islamic ‘Jumah’ Prayers After Rejecting Cardinal’s Blessing (And You Won‘t Believe Who’s Invited)

16 – And then we have this:

“I am a Muslim,” Obama Tells Egyptian Foreign Minister Gheit  Islamic Coup on the White House

There is much, much more of this; you just have to start looking for it.  But the thing you need to understand is not that this represents hatred of Muslims: it doesn’t.  The real reason so many people are alarmed by the Presidents connections to Islam is because they know and understand that Islam is not compatible with the U.S. Constitution.  They are opposing ideologies.  America is founded upon the idea of individual rights and liberties – the freedom of the individual and his/her conscience.  Islam literally means submission, and is founded on the goal of world dominance under an Islamic theocracy.  So, the concern is not hatred, but concern for our way of life.  What’s more, those of us who have been watching are aware that many of these same Muslims to whom the President is connected have openly called for the destruction of the U.S. and the creation of an American Islamic State under Shari’a Law.

Radical Muslims want America ruled by Shariah

Only, this cleric says there is no “Radical and Moderate Islam:”

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agOU2R6MTbg

And the lady who says there are many different forms of Islam are apostates according to Muhammad and the Qur’an:

Muslims Should Not Dispute Over Non-Fundamental Principles of Islam

In short: Muslims are giving America the “fair warning” and “invitation” to convert to Islam that the Qur’an commands they give before they can attack.  We – as a nation – have rejected this warning many times.  Therefore, according to Islam, none of us are “innocent:” we are all infidels who may be killed according to the commands of Allah.

I will leave you to draw whatever conclusions you will from this post.  All I ask is that you take this issue seriously and think about this information…please.

  1. he said he “visited 57 states and had one more to go” …the the 57 islamic states is a stretch. because that would mean he thought there were 58 states.

whether he is a muslim in faith is debatable but since he thinks he is god it is a mute point.

more to the point he is a narcissist scumbag.

    • Like I said: this time, I didn’t try to speak for anyone. I deliberately said I was leaving it up to the reader to make what they will of it, I just took the time to put a bunch of it together in one place — sort of a memory jog, so to speak.

  2. 33:21 as translated in Sahih Int’l

There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day and [who] remembers Allah often.

    here are some more translations

Pickthall: Verily in the messenger of Allah ye have a good example for him who looketh unto Allah and the Last Day, and remembereth Allah much.

Yusuf Ali: Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah.

Shakir: Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent exemplar for him who hopes in Allah and the latter day and remembers Allah much.

Muhammad Sarwar: The Messenger of God is certainly a good example for those of you who have hope in God and in the Day of Judgment and who remember God very often.

Mohsin Khan: Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad SAW) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much.

Arberry: You have had a good example in God’s Messenger for whosoever hopes for God and the Last Day, and remembers God oft.

excellent at best, a good example, some say,, no one says perfect but you.

And Obama’s father was an atheist, need I remind you.

Cardinal Dolan will be speaking at the RNC convention, he invited himself to the Democratic shindig only three weeks ago. Perhaps they had other plans in place by then? There is still a chance that Dolan will speak at the convention, according to an article in the NY Post.

B, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

    • So, again, essentially what I claimed the Qur’an says. So why is it so difficult for you to just acknowledge that I am NOT misquoting anything? Besides, I got the quote I used from a MUSLIM web page. Had I wanted to be as accurate as I can be, I’d have quoted from the literal translation I use:

      21. (It) had been for you in God’s messenger a good* ÒÄnY example/model* ÑÌmCto who was hoping/expecting God, and
the Day the Last/Resurrection Day, and remembered/mentioned God much.

And it would STILL say that Muhammad is the model of a perfect Muslim — exactly what I have been claiming the Qur’an says: nothing more, nothing less.

        • Because I have read the Qur’an and the Hadith and know that this is one possible translation. What’s more, it is the impression given by Muhammad, himself — in the Qur’an:

Qur’an 4:65 “They can have no Faith, until they make you (Muhammad) judge in all disputes, and find in their souls no resistance against Your decisions, accepting them with complete submission.”

Qur’an 33:21 “You have indeed a noble paradigm in the Apostle of Allah.” [A second translation reads:] “You have in (Muhammad) the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern of conduct for anyone to follow.” [A third reads:] “Verily in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example for him who looks unto Allah and the Last Day.” [A fourth reads:] “Certainly you have in the Messenger of Allah an excellent prototype.” [A fifth says:] “You have indeed a noble paradigm [archetype, exemplar, standard, model, or pattern] to follow in Allah’s Apostle.”

Qur’an 49:1 “Believers, be not forward in the presence of Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak loudly around him, as you speak to one another, lest your deeds become nullified unconsciously. Those that lower their voices in the presence of the Messenger have their hearts tested by Allah. Theirs will be an immense reward.”

Qur’an 33:36 “No Muslim has any choice after Allah and His Apostle have decided a matter.”

Qur’an 33:56 “Allah and His angels shower blessings on the Prophet. So believers, send your blessings on him, and salute him with all respect – a worthy salutation. Those who annoy Allah and His Messenger and speak evil things of them – Allah has cursed them and prepared a humiliating torment.”

Qur’an 33:57 “Those who speak negatively of Allah and His Apostle shall be cursed.”

Qur’an 108:3 “For he who insults you (Muhammad) will be cut off.”

Qur’an 24:62 “Only those are believers in Allah and His Messenger who, when they are with him on a matter requiring collective action, do not depart until they have asked for his permission. Deem not the summons of the Messenger like the summons of one of you. Allah knows those who slip away, making excuses. Beware of rejecting the Messenger’s orders lest a grievous penalty be inflicted.”

Qur’an 81:19 “Verily this is the Word (brought by) a most honorable Messenger imbued with power, the Lord of the Throne, Mighty, One to be obeyed.”

Qur’an 2:104 “You of Faith, say not (to the Prophet) words of ambiguous import like ‘Listen to us,’ but words of respect; and obey (him): To those who don’t submit there is a grievous punishment.”

Do you want more? Or are you so fixated on looking for that specific word that you will miss the meaning/intention/impression/idea all together?

          • words matter, B, you know that. Excellent is not perfect, and no one but you is picking the word ‘perfect’ as the best match for the original Arabic. I doubt that I ever pick you as the arbiter of what the quran means, as your prejudices keep you from examining the rich cultural history of Islam, and makes you dismiss hard evidence of Islamic accomplishments in the fields of science and art. Of course there were exceptions, and bloody ones, too. “War is Hell”, which muslim said that?

            • “as your prejudices keep you from examining the rich cultural history of Islam, and makes you dismiss hard evidence of Islamic accomplishments in the fields of science and art”

This isn’t the issue Greg. Germany is also filled with rich cultural history, and it is also easy to dismiss hard evidence of their achievements in fields such as science and medicine during the Nazi regime (also a powerful ‘religious’ movement with a very common interest as Islam …. eradicate the Jews).

That’s the price radicals pay when they choose to be radical. Until they get passed the radicalism that plagues their faith, no one is every going to be diverted from the reality of what they have become in order to appreciate the achievements made prior to their radicalization.

Instead of defending them ad nauseum, you really should be pushing an agenda that helps them marginalize their own radicalism.

              • Is that what B is doing? Telling every Muslim that he can’t trust them because their religion, according to his warped view, allows them to lie, yeah! That’s a good way to sway someone towards your ideas.
Islam’s finest hour is behind it. Like all institutions, Islam has taken root, flowered, seeded and is dying from the inside out. Its leaders, for the most part, have aligned with totalitarian dicks, and are more interested in preserving their own power and comfort, at the expense of their society.
The way that women are treated in some countries is horrid. If we are to change that, we must engage these people, trade with them, although I suggest a better product than bullets. The more they see of us, in a non-invasive fashion, the more they, the youngest, for sure, will want the lifestyle that we have.

The Middle East needs another Kemal Ataturk, with a modern vision. A transformative president, in other words.
                And I need a nap. G’nite

                • Now Joe pay attention here … (smiles):

“Is that what B is doing? Telling every Muslim that he can’t trust them because their religion, according to his warped view, allows them to lie, yeah!”

                  – Joe isn’t speaking to the Muslims. He is speaking to you, but if you are a Muslim, then I suppose he is then speaking to the Muslims.

“Islam’s finest hour is behind it. Like all institutions, Islam has taken root, flowered, seeded and is dying from the inside out. Its leaders, for the most part, have aligned with totalitarian dicks, and are more interested in preserving their own power and comfort, at the expense of their society.”

                  – Ah, but that is the face of Islam these days, Greg. Well done.

“If we are to change that”
                  – It is not our job to change anything over there. Not sure why you would even think that.

” The more they see of us, in a non-invasive fashion, the more they, the youngest, for sure, will want the lifestyle that we have.”

                  – Nothing more to say to this, than that is exactly what is causing the unrest … the youth are railing against foundational Islam over there. They wish already to become more modern, more Americanized.

                  • Muhammad said (in the Qur’an) that those who deny the end times and resurrection deny Islam. He also said that this would not happen until the entire world had been subdued (submitted to Islam or made to pay the dhimmi tax).

Doesn’t this sort of mandate that war is ordained for Muslims, just like Muhammad said it was? And, if so, how then has Islam “devolved” when it was always ordained that this would be its path?

Again, this is in the Qur’an, but this time, I am asking for those who tell me I am wrong to explain the contradiction here.

                  • I wish for Muslims to quit their cruel mutilation of young women, (btw, what’s your take on circumcision?), I wish for them to elect their own leaders, and, if they re too bull-headed to copy Israel, then act more like Turkey or Indonesia than freaking Zimbabwe, economically speaking.

                    • My thoughts on circumcision?

Neonatal care is not my area of expertise, but I would offer the obvious …

Any invasive procedure introduces a risk. However, surgical interventions have to be weighed using a risk vs benefit approach.

In the case of neonatal circumcision, one would weigh the risks (improper foreskin length(too long or short), poor healing, or idiopathic reattachment of the foreskin to the head of the penis requiring a surgical revision), verses the benefits (protection from sexually transmitted diseases, improved lifetime genital hygiene, elimination of phimosis (inability to retract the foreskin), prevention of penile cancer, urinary tract infection, greater microtrauma during sexual intercourse as the presence of foreskin creates a less cornified skin, or any other virology I may have overlooked).

My opinion the answer to whether to circumcise a male baby is yes, however the best answer is that of affirmative choice secondary to religious/social barriers/beliefs, as long as the parents make a well informed decision.

                    • Thanks, that helped make up my mind. I saw a baby with an infected cut after his surgery; ain’t that pretty at all, as Warren Zevon would say. But the future risk of infection, plus the other things you mentioned, which I had never heard of before, make the decision easier.
I come down on the side of circumcision, but I wish that they would anesthetize them first. jeez.

                    • Your question got expanded to include female circumcision. (thanks for making me work today …Greg). Just kidding.

The question did post a topic for debate. I gave the medical implications, and invited everyone to discuss. Have a go at it. 🙂

                    • Greg, sorry I overlooked that actual important part of your response.

It is wise to learn about mode of transmission from germs. All too often, hospitals get blamed for nosocomial infections when in reality, 9 of 10 patients entering the ER culture for MRSA in their nares.

Post surgical care is crucial to proper wound healing to prevent Staph from invading the incision line, or the open wound bed.

I suggest consulting your surgeon, or if easier, Google up surgical showers. Information gleaned there would be useful to cleaning around the site.

                • I would give real money to get you to read the Qur’an and Hadith rather than just accepting what Muslims tell you it says and means.

Qur’an 8:29 “O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allah, He will grant you a criterion to judge between right and wrong, or a way to overlook your evil thoughts and deeds.”

There is an excuse to do wrong: Allah will give Muslims ways to “overlook” their evil. You will not find anything like this in the Bible.

Qur’an 70:28 “Preserve their chastity except with their wives and the slave girls they possess – for which there is no blame.”

There is your permission o rape the wives and slaves of the people Muslims conqueror. You will find nothing like this in the Bible.

Qur’an 8:69 “So enjoy what you took as booty; the spoils are lawful and good.”

Ishaq:327 “Allah made booty lawful and good. He used it to incite the Muslims to unity of purpose. So enjoy what you have captured.”

There’s your permission to kill infidels and take their property, and to use this promise to further/spread Islam. You will not find anything like this in the Bible. In fact, God told the Israelites NOT TO TAKE ANYTHING from the people they exiled from the promised land.

Bukhari:V7B67N427 “The Prophet said, ‘If I take an oath and later find something else better than that, then I do what is better and expiate my oath.'”

Qur’an 9:3 “Allah and His Messenger dissolve obligations.”

Qur’an 66:2 “Allah has already sanctioned for you the dissolution of your vows.”

Bukhari:V4B52N268 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘War is deceit.'”

Qur’an 4:142 “Surely the hypocrites strive to deceive Allah. He shall retaliate by deceiving them.”

And THERE is your permission to lie, cheat and deceive. You will not find this in the Bible.

                  • We won’t find slaves in the Bible? Concubines were slaves in all but name.

So, Thomas Jefferson can own slaves, sleep with one in exchange for her brothers’ freedom, but Muslims are bad, bad, BAD, for doing the same thing?

God commanded The Israelites to kill every man, woman, and head of cattle in Jericho.
This is why I don’t read the crap, B, Tolkien had a better narrative.
You trekkies can argue religion from now on, If I think of something new to say, I will say it.

                    • <>

THIS is where we get sideways. I was referring to the authority to RAPE the wives and slaves of those whom you kill. I said so. For you to now come in here and jam words I did not speak into my mouth and then proceed as though you properly quoted me is…well, it is a lie, Greg — pure and simple.

And yes, God did command the Israelites to kill everyone in that area, and had they done so, we wouldn’t be discussing Islam today — or the majority of our problems in the Middle east. But then, as you just suggested, you believe you know better than God.

              • <>

Were this only possible, Augger, but you and I both know that it will be very difficult for Muslims to undergo any sort of “reformation” and still keep the basic tenants of Islam intact — especially Islamic prophecy.

            • Greg,

I have probably read more MUSLIM SPONSORED sites and literature in the past 2 years than you ever will. But, unlike you, I have read the other side as well. This is why I determined the other side is closer to correct than Islam’s apologists (btw: that word means defenders).

As for my take on the Qur’an, again you show your ignorance AND your refusal to listen to and accept my word for things. A great deal of what I claim comes from MUSLIM CLERICS! This is why I do not have to make things up, deceive people or lie about Islam: I don’t have to, the truth is bad enough (sort of like the history of Progressivism)

You believe what you will in spite of the evidence. I believe what the evidence tells me. THIS is why you and I will always be on opposite sides of nearly every issue.
