We need to stay on this secession issue because – contrary to what our political masters on both sides of this issue are trying to tell us – there’s more here than meets the eye.

At least the people behind this movement are peaceful and, if we were to ask them, all they probably want is to be left alone and not be forced to participate in a way of living they consider to be against the conscience. Forcing people to pay for abortions, accept gay marriage, keep their faith from their public life and provide for the care of others they do not and will never know are all issues that can and do violate the conscience of a great many Americans. Did you know the founders thought the 1st Amendment was actually dealing with a means of protecting freedom of conscience? They even used the term in the first drafts because freedom of conscience is a natural right. It is essentially the right to free will. Take it away and you are a slave.
With that said, have you seen this?
Petition to Strip Citizenship from People Trying to Secede
Mr. President, please sign an executive order such that each American citizen who signed a petition from any state to secede from the USA shall have their citizenship stripped and be peacefully deported.
Don’t just look at what this person is asking for, but also at how he/she is asking it to be done. Do you recall all the stories about Obama telling his supporters he will just go around Congress? Have you seen the stories about all the regulations Obama is putting in place? Essentially, all these regulations represent making laws without going to Congress. Now, are you aware of how many executive orders Obama has issued and what they contain? Do you realize he can pick any of us up and detain us indefinitely without legal recourse or, if he so decides, he can have us assassinated without judicial process? If you doubt any of this, you have a homework assignment for today – go look it all up. I already know what you’ll find…if you have the courage to accept it, that is.
Now let me ask you whether or not you saw this:
I do not care whether or not Jarrett actually said these exact words – letter for letter. What I care about is the ideology and mentality of Obama, the people around him and the people supporting him. Given the last story I just cited, do you think the mentality of “get even with ‘em ism” is actually so alien to the people now running our government? I don’t. In fact, I think we are already seeing it in action.
Let me ask you, do you honestly believe that Obama and his people did not know about Gen. Petraeus and his affair before last Wednesday? If you do, I suspect you either do not know the full story, how the FBI and the appointment process for a CIA Chief work – or both. Attorney General Holder has known about Petraeus since this summer. It was found out when the FBI was “vetting” (doing the security checks for) Gen. Petraeus for his appointment as CIA Chief. At the very least, Obama knew. However, since I have come to accept the observed actions of this Administration as signs of how they think and work, I now believe that Petraeus – formerly “Betray us” to the Left – was put in place because they knew about his affair. That gave Obama and his people leverage over Petraeus, and the stories are now coming out that this leverage may have led Petraeus to lie about the reason for the attack on the Benghazi consulate being a YouTube video. No, I think what is happening to Petraeus may be deserved, but it is also connected to the way Obama and his people think and operate.
What we must understand is Obama and his people are revolutionaries. They have thought about how to take over a nation their entire lives. They have planned it since their college years. It’s one reason they cannot govern: all they know is how to destroy. In Obama’s case, he is in with Progressives. The term “Progressive” was carefully chosen by Woodrow Wilson. He knew he could tell Americans he meant “progress” in terms of technology, society and liberty, but he really meant revolution by incremental “progress:” one piece at a time. This why it is so difficult for the average American to understand Progressives: their language sounds like the way we all talk, so the average American never understands Progressives mean something entirely different from what they think Progressives mean. This was explained by Orwell, who wrote “1984” to warn us about what was coming and how it is going to work:
Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.
Now, you have Obama claiming that he has a “mandate” to do all the things he actually told us he was going to do. Even if the people who voted for him didn’t understand what he was really saying, Obama is claiming they knew and that they want what he now plans to do – what he wanted all along. This is another thing we need to understand about Progressives: they tell us their intentions in the open. There is no “conspiracy theory” here; I simply took the time to read enough Progressive literature to learn their language. That is how I knew he meant this in the literal sense:
Well, when you “fundamentally transform” a nation, it is no longer the nation it was. What’s more, now that he claims to have a mandate to “tax the rich” and the Republicans appear as though they are going to go along with it, there is going to be no way to stop Obama from using your money against you. He and his people are even going to use debt to force the unborn to work against their own self-interest. If taxing and indebting the unborn is not taxation without representation, I don’t know what is. And, if both Parties are going to just spend us to the point of collapse, then what more do we need before we meet the criteria necessary to declare our government a clear and present danger to the individual’s natural rights and the liberty of man?
I contend that that is exactly where we are now: in a nation that is no longer America. We have effectively abandoned everything our founders embraced in the Declaration of Independence. Oh, to be sure, we are still the United States of America, but we are no longer “America.” That nation died some time ago. All that lives on now are the people old enough to still remember it – that, and the original principles and ideals upon which it was founded. What’s more, with despots and tyrants in control of every aspect of our government and social support systems, I do not see how we are going to “vote” our way back to where we once were as a nation. In fact, I think there is more truth and relevance to this discussion in this picture than the average person stops to consider:
Now, I am not questioning whether or not Obama won or even if we can trust our electoral process. I’m more concerned with a bigger problem presented in that picture: the character of our nation. The injustice inherent in what is obvious cheating only seems to matter to those who are sympathetic to the idea of secession, which — to me — suggests that it is less about secession than it is about being allowed to live our lives according to the ideals and principles espoused in our Declaration.
So, for me, the answer must be either secession or slavery for the next 1,000 years – because, without a free America, all of humanity will be pinned beneath Orwell’s boot:
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face, forever.
I know full well that secession will be messy, I understand. I also understand the reluctance of so many who loved the nation we once knew to abandon her. I’m with you: It is like leaving a man behind on the battlefield. But America is not a nation, it is an idea; and as long as there are those of us left who understand that, America will follow us wherever we go. This is what Franklin meant when he said:
Where liberty dwells, there is my country.
But I also understand the price of inaction. If we continue down the path we’re on now, and we keep doing what we’ve been doing since Progressives first started to take over, we will keep getting hat we’ve been getting. That is the path to eternal slavery, my friend. No, what is called for now is courage and faith in Providence. That’s how our founders built this nation, and that’s how it will be saved. It is the only way it will be saved because – in our ignorance and arrogance – we have created a God-sized problem. It only stands to reason that only God can solve a God-sized problem. So I will leave you to decide for yourself whether you will start looking for another way to preserve the heritage our founders handed us. As for me, I know where my heart lies. My heart hears the call of my favorite founder. If your heart is with me, then I know I do not need to tell you to whom these words belong:
…Virtue, morality, and religion. This is the armor, my friend, and this alone that renders us invincible. These are the tactics we should study. If we lose these, we are conquered, fallen indeed…so long as our manners and principles remain sound, there is no danger.

Here’s another thought. Texas, I believe, had historically reserved the right to break into 5 separate states should we ever feel the need to. In this extraordinary time, for the sake of the union, it might be time to do so. This would bring the US senate another, most likely, 8 senators who would be Republican.
