Hmmmmm. It’s almost if Government Motors’ Chevy Volt pre-election sales success was nothing but an illusion.
Sales of plug-in electric cars fell slightly in November, with continued steady sales of the Nissan Leaf not enough to make up for a decline in Chevy Volt numbers.
This month’s total may not quite equal last month’s plug-in sales of 6,784. The big unknown, however, is deliveries of the Tesla Model S–which Tesla won’t discuss.
And this just in via Ed Driscoll: The Economy Stinks — Now They Tell Us. No way we could have known THAT a month ago. It is so UNEXPECTED.
Everything which might cause doubt about the wisdom of the government or create discontent will be kept from the people. The basis of unfavorable comparisons with elsewhere, the knowledge of possible alternatives to the course actually taken, information which might suggest failure on the part of the government to live up to its promises or to take advantage of opportunities to improve conditions–all will be suppressed. There is consequently no field where the systematic control of information will not be practiced and uniformity of views not enforced.
I tend to agree.
Democrat or Republican, one of the constant features of our government is that these kinds of sleight-of-hand deals and factual mirages are designed by morons of both parties to help advance themselves and their causes – but the only thing they are doing is feeding Leviathan. What they don’t get is that Leviathan is never satiated, it is never satisfied, it only rejects the political party that doesn’t feed it enough and gets the other who will.
Liberal/”progressives” are the best at this process but in truth, each party banks on being able to outrun the other as Leviathan consumes the landscape, thinking that they don’t have to be the fastest, just faster than the guy behind them. That belief is a fallacy – Leviathan crushes and grinds liberal asshat bones just as it does all bones.
Gee – it’s almost if it was self-aware.
