Mark Levin Gets It: Blasts BOTH Parties

THIS is the truth.  THIS is courage.  THIS is leadership.  THIS is what we need more of in our nation today:

Mark Levin BLASTS both Democrats and gutless Republicans for the destruction of this country

You should view these politicians with the deepest contempt you can possibly imagine. What they are doing to this country, what they are doing to our finances – there is not a criminal in any federal prison, state prison, city or county jail, with respect to financial crimes of any sort who collectively could have done the kind of damage that Barack Obama and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi and YES, willing, timid, gutless Republicans have done to this country! To your future, to your children and your grandchildren! What they are doing is with malice and with forethought….

What the hell does the Democrat party stand for today? The destruction of America? And what the hell does the Republican party stand for today? To sit there with their thumbs in their mouths while it’s going on?

Any politician with an ounce of common sense should be getting on any soap box imaginable and screaming from the top of their lungs that these policies are destroying America!

There’s more…

All I have to add to this is:

Welcome to the party, Mark (better late than never).

  1. Calm down Beavis… your a little late to the game on Levin.

He’s BEEN doing this for years!

But he is also a Conservative that knows and understands our founding, our documents and that if we are going to turn the country around we will need to take our party “AND ITS POWER” back. He knows that this will happen via the Tea Party movement and everyone is welcome to join us or be the enemy.

His pod-casts are FREE – download them daily and get a real education on our founding documents 🙂

    • Rather be Beavis than you, Butthead.

Levin has NOT been saying this THIS clearly (hint: I know, I listen because I like him). What’s more, this “Levin is TEA Party” is revisionist. He and Rush were AGAINST the TEA Party when it first started. Like the rest of the “conservatives,” they are doing their best to co-opt it for their own purposes. Again, I know, I listen to both men.

Finally, if being with you is the only way you think I can help, then count me an enemy, buddy. But understand, I stand with the spirit of the Constitution as defined by the Declaration — NOT the stuff you “conservatives” spew as original intent. You are as revisionist as the Left — because “conservatism” is the flip side of the same coin.

  2. Boys boys boys …. Calm down or Kells will be along to rap your knuckles…. you know it’s true.

I don’t remember them being against the TP early on …. but maybe I’m remembering wrong. What I remember is them being against a 3rd party…..but again maybe there’s more that I didn’t hear or hear in the same way.

What I have heard Mark saying more and more is the total bankruptcy of the GOP Leadership at every level…..which I agree with 100 %. What …”spewed Original Intent” R U refering to Joe ?

    • Don,

Early on, Rush, Hannity and Levin distanced themselves from the TP, aiding with Boehner who, if you’ll remember, said the TP candidates would be DOA when they got to the House. I think they did this because — as always– the are “R’s” first, Americans second and will NEVER do ANYTHING that may weaken the Party’s strength. It was only later, after the TP proved to be a formidable force, that any of these people started claiming to have been with the TP from the start. That is revisionism: it simply isn’t true.

As for the “original intent spew,” I have issues with the majority of people who call themselves “conservatives” while — at the same time — claiming to be for the founders’ original intentions for this nation. As I have detailed here on the RNL, there are significant differences between modern American conservative thinking and our founding father’ original intentions. If anyone needs an example, we can start with corporations.

      • Are you refering to the 2009 timeframe? Because I remember Both Levin and Rush Strongly pushing the TP and specific candidates all the way leading up to the 2010 Midterms…..Hannity is another animal altogether …. he is a combination of a sham and a rather stupid actor in all this IMHO.

I also remember Levin and Rush high-lighting the TP meetings with their Congressman after the Bush Bailout …. that would be the summer of 2009.

Would you consider yourself an Al Franken fan and his Citizens United petition?

        • Don,

Then we remember differently. I can remember Rush discussing his reservations about the TP and the possibility it would dilute the Republican base and cost votes for Republican candidates. I also remember Levin eviscerating TP leaders (Beck especially).

It wasn’t until AFTER the TP started winning that I remember any of these three getting behind the movement. But then, I could be wrong — I just don’t think I am. I think it is more likely that there is a divergence in what people conceptualize as the TP, who it is and what it stands for.

          • Mark Levin was VOCIFEROUSLY supportive of Tea Party Candidates from late 2009 on…..he had long lists of who and in what state …. that is how we knew who to support financially. He and Rush were very supportive well before the 2010 Sweep. I remember numerous interviews on Levin from TP candidates . And this was all BEFORE the TP wins…..they HELPED those wins occur.

And Rush’s endorsement of Palin was in 2008…..he even had her on his show…..and he almost NEVER has guests as you know …. Rubio and Cruz were on their screens BEFORE they even ran.

I do remember it differently …. the 3rd party canard has been one that Both have been wary of… that I do remember.

Hannity I don’t even consider …. he’s a GOP progressivist Fraud … and he may not even be smart enoufgh to realize it …. still pushing K Rove on us……..So I exclude him from my comments above.

              • When they are Locally endorsed by the TP and the TP is fundraising for them … they Are.

Rand Paul, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio to mention just a small example were ALL heavily supported by both their Local TP their State’s Other TPs and folks like Palin and Levin ( who I know is not TP … publically has supported them as I’ve said ).

                • Don,

OK. You believe Levin, Rush and Hannity have always been on-board with the TP. I don’t. I still don’t. We differ in our opinions on this issue, but we are still allies in the cause 🙂

              • Yes … we are DEFINITELY allies !! 100%

But, your last reponse U R being just a teenstie weentsie bit ( I used that term for “The Cats” here ) disingenuous…..

To wit … I gave specific examples (I could have given more) …But mostly…I specifically have said I DO NOT feel this way about Hannity … a re-read of my above posts will clarify this … ;- )).

                • Don,

I don’t see it as disingenuous. I think the issue here is that you heard shows I did not. Both of us are honestly reporting on what we heard. Now, there are several RNL readers who may remember me going off on Rush when the TP first started. I was vehement in my attacks against him at the time, so they may remember it. If the local paper had left their forum up, there would even be a record of it, but alas, they didn’t (but that was a blessing as it led to the RNL).

However, any support these guys express today is tainted by their proven opposition to anything that even smacks of a third Party. It is now impossible to determine whether their support is genuine, or whether it amounts to a co-opting of the TP’s popularity in an attempt to re-direct it back to their Party.

Do you see the source of my skepticism?

  3. Folks,
    Joe is correct.

You conservatives, who were named such by the self-named progressives (american communists) need to learn what the self styled “conservatives” really believe in.

    It ain’t jeffersonian constitutionalism.

    • Levin and Rush put down the TP ? ….When was this and what did they say ? ……

Conservatives……. If you’re refering to me, I KNOW what I believe in……If you’re refering to Boehner and Rove and Bush and the like…..I know what THEY believe in too.

If you’re saying I believe in what Rove et al believe in….then, respectfully….you don’t know What I believe in …. nor perhaps what the bulk of “Us Conservatives” believe in.

But….I asked a question about their dissing the TP….I listen to them and don’t remember that…..I remember Rush being giddy about Palin for instance,….and still is BTW.

  4. Don and Joe- you both may be correct. Your positions are not mutually exclusive. I remember Rush and Mark musing that the TEA Party could dilute the vote and a 3rd Party wouldn’t be helpful. I also remember that they liked what the TEA Party stands for. As long as more and more people are for limited government, I am happier and I don’t care if they came late or were there all along.

    • drketedc,

Agreed — on all counts. I just have very real reservations about the three radio hosts in question. They are not stupid, so their Party of country past bothers me greatly. That’s all I’m saying.

Still, Rush is being brilliant today, and I suspect I will have to post my additions to his line of argument today. 🙂

    • No No No No…..I’m more correcter than Joe is !!! …..

besides he took my Bucket and I can’t make any sand castle now… lost mu shovel too … :- ((.
