Obama turning to executive power to get what he wants
Arguably more than any other president in modern history, he’s using executive actions, primarily orders, to bypass or pressure a Congress where the opposition Republicans can block any proposal.
Friends, that is NOT Constitutional. And, at the pace he is going, if the idiots in the Republican Party do not wake up and launch repeated efforts to impeach and convict this man now, given that he is already talking about “wishing he could” run for a third term, they may never get the chance. After all, if no one is trying to stop him after he flaunts his usurpation of Constitutional power in this manner, why would he think he couldn’t get away with declaring his eligibility to run for a third, or fourth term? By not trying to stop him now, when he is in clear violation of the Constitution, by what measure of credibility will the Republicans be able to try later – after they belatedly realize they have allowed the rise of an open dictator.
As bad as he was, Bush never came this close to openly declaring himself a dictator and look how the Left reacted. If this were a Republican in office acting as Obama is acting, they would be positively apoplectic. But because it is “their guy” seizing power – especially because the Left already thinks they should be allowed to be dictators – there is open embrace of this startling growth in Obama’s power by the Left.
Lest anyone bother to read history, this is exactly how republics slide into tyranny. Next time you see one, thank a Republican for their precious strategy that places the fortunes of a next election above duty to the nation – especially as the possibility that the next election may never happen grows stronger and stronger with every power grab Obama makes.

Obama is definitely up there with FDR in executive exercise. Remember how many terms he ran for, which is why we have a constitutional amendment saying presidents can’t run for more than two terms. I don’t think he’s going to run again. I do suspect he’ll create some sort of crisis where people will (for a moment or two) be glad when he offers to stay on in “extended session”. Global financial collapse could be that crisis.
I have been saying the same thing for some time. How in the world would anyone expect a man that routinely ignores any law he doesn’t like and agree with, to obey a law that would remove his power.

Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner (R-OH), on March 17, 2013, on ABC’s This Week, said that he “absolutely” trusts Obama. Boehner also said that he and Obama have a good relationship, and that they are “open with each other … honest with each other.”
This about says it all. You are now seeing the Republicans compitulating on all fronts. Votes are now more important than Principal. They are so blinded by the desire for power they don’t realize they are already doomed and the Progressives are laughing at them and have accomplished the almost impossible. They have destroyed the Republican Party with the assistance of the Republican Party. We now have “One Party Rule” and when we loose the House in 2014 it will be complete.
I recommend that everyone look on-line at a book titled “The Roosevelt Myth” by John T. Flynn. You will experience deja vu as it reads like current events of the Obama adminstration. Henry Morgenthau, Roosevelt’s treasurey secretary, was one of the first to say that the new deal didn’t work.
