When you see stories like this:

Obama uses executive power to move gun control agenda forward

The president has used his executive powers to bolster the national background check system, jumpstart government research on the causes of gun violence and create a million-dollar ad campaign aimed at safe gun ownership.

DO NOT be sucked in by the claim that Obama is just trying to keep you safe.  THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS STORY IS ABOUT!  This story is about the further usurpation of Congress’s power/authority.  There is nothing – NOTHING in the U.S. Constitution that allows the President to make law or spend money.  That is the sole power of Congress.  Yet, per this story, Obama is making law by decree and directing the expenditures of public funds – and all of it without going through Congress.

 This is nothing less than a power grab.  When Bush did it, the Left screamed like a child who had their candy snatched – AND THEY WERE RIGHT TO DO SO!  But, now that “their guy” is doing it, they are defending the power grab.  This is because they never really cared about the power grab, they just wanted to be the one doing it.  And that means the Left supports tyranny.

 But then, any student of history already knows the Leftist mentality is comfortable with tyranny – so long as they get to be the tyrant.

BTW: Republicans, YOU ARE DEFENDING TYRANNY TOO!  Yes, ALL of you are supporting tyranny — because this is an impeachable offense and you remain silent, or claim you can’t do anything because you need to get re-elected so you can stop this in the future (sort of like the way Rush just tells people we have to accept the steady march to the Left in hopes of being able to do something about it in the future).
