A suspect in Monday’s Boston’s Marathon bombings has died after being captured by police in a shootout just outside of the city that also left one officer dead. A massive manhunt is underway to find a second suspect.
Boston police commissioner Ed Davis confirmed that the second man is still at large in Watertown, a suburb about 6 miles north-west of Boston.
The missing suspect has been identified by the Associated Press as 19-year-old Dzhokhar A Tsarnaev from nearby Cambridge, Massachusetts. NBC News is reporting that the dead suspect was his brother.
Both are reportedly from a Russian region near Chechnya and have been living in the US for at least a year.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev appears to been educated at at a Cambridge high school before receiving a scholarship to pursue higher education in 2011.His name appears on a list of 45 recipients of the Cambridge City Scholarship, handed to students from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.
The Daily Mail reports that while people were running from the scene or to help the injured, these two calmly stuck around to assess the carnage they caused.
One of them is dead, the other on the run. Twitter reports that the dead one had bits of shrapnel in his body consistent with the bombs.
As quick as the media was to hang this on some white, redneck Christianist they are just as slow to speculate that these guys just might be Muslim.

Actually, as I pointed out, it was a private citizen who discovered the second terrorist…and nobody has been talking about a militia hunting them down, only having the means to protect their own life and limb rather that cowering under a dining room table and praying that a killer didn’t come to their house.

We can only hope that elected officials don’t use this as an excuse to try and crack down on civil liberties, violate the US Constitution, and try and drum up xenophobia and hostility against another country because of the actions of two men. I know, fat chance right.

The Obama supporting Marxists, enjoy it when “the State” uses illegal power to “control” those of us who believe in freedom and liberty. So no, they won’t be complaining about O’s executive orders. “They” believe they are above “the law” and those executive orders won’t be used against them since they support the Marxists. They won’t complain until the illegal power is used on all citizens, oops, subjects.
You are right – there was absence of not only hard evidence but any evidence at all that it was related to anything right wing…and there is a pattern in America of the liberal media and the political left to immediately accuse their political opponents while completely ignoring those they protect…even to a point that these pressure cooker bombs were claimed to be the “signature” of a right wing bomber when no bomb like it has ever been used by anyone in a terror attack. So, yeah, there were a lot of assumptions made with no evidence but the telling aspect is not that the speculation that some mythical “right wing bomber” existed but the absence of speculation that a left wing or and Islamic bomber did.
And it is interesting that you, like the media, make broad assumptions absent of fact. There is no proof at this point that this was a “lone wolf” attack. Absence of evidence is not affirmative proof. We don’t have the full story yet, so it might be prudent to keep your accusations to yourself until we know a little more – you will avoid embarrassment by doing so.
There appears to be much evidence Boston was not a “lone wolf attack” and this administration is in the process of helping the attackers by deporting and covering up “other’s” involvement.
The mosque the 2 brothers attended is reportedly funded and maintained by “the Muslim Brotherhood”.
