Some time ago, I was asked to start posting a suggested reading list regarding several of the reoccurring themes here on the RNL.  I must admit, I have been remiss in answering this request and I apologize.  So, without any further a due, here are a few suggestions – all of these books deal with the issue of Islam and terrorism, especially the alliances between the American Left and “Radical” Islam (NOTE: I personally own and have read each of these, otherwise, I wouldn’t be recommending them):

This book is an excellent overview of the Middle East and to the religious philosophies which dominate its history.  If you would understand the conflict that is now spilling over into the rest of the world, this book is a great place to start:

Inside the Revolution: How the Followers of Jihad, Jefferson, and Jesus Are Battling to Dominate the Middle East and Transform the World

In conjunction with the book listed above, I would strongly suggest reading this book, as well.  It connects current real world events to Biblical prophecy, which, when taken together with the first book, provides a solid understanding of the history of the Holy Land.  Even skeptics need to understand the information in these two books if they hope to have any chance of understanding the reality of what is happening and why:

This is an excellent book covering the history of Jihad.  It will show you that terrorism is not a modern phenomenon, and – if the reader is honest – it will shake this Western notion of terrorism being the result of “Radical” Islam.

Jihad in the West: Muslim Conquests from the 7th to the 21st Centuries

This book ties the first three together for you.  It explains what the Muslims want in the Middle east,; what the Muslim Brotherhood is trying to achieve.  It was written in 2011, and already it is proving to be prophetic in its explanation and predictions for what we are now seeing in Europe.  All of this author’s work is very good and worth reading:
