In response to opposition to Obama’s policies, on more than one occasion, the charge of racism has been leveled against his opponents. Chris “Tingle” Matthews exemplifies this tendency:
They want to be able to say, well, he didn’t really have that batting average; he really wasn’t the first African American president; he really didn’t do health care; he really didn’t kill bin Laden. There’s an asterisk, and they have been fighting for that, the people like Donald Trump, since day one. They can’t stand the idea that he’s president, and a piece of it is racism. Not that somebody in one racial group doesn’t like somebody in another racial group, so what? It’s the sense that the white race must rule, that’s what racism is, and they can’t stand the idea that a man who’s not white is president. That is real, that sense of racial superiority and rule is in the hearts of some people in this country.
And just within the past couple of days, in a conversation with the disgrace to his father and all-around despicable little weasel, Ron Reagan:
MATTHEWS: …The gun people, they think about nothing else. And they never change their minds, never change their attitudes and never change the frickin’ subject. How do you keep an interest among normal people that keeps up with that intense, almost, well, obsession that the gun people have?
RON REAGAN: The NRA needs to be just as demonized among 90 percent of at the public, as Obama is demonized among the, you know, ten percent or so of the fanatic, you know, gun buffs.
MATTHEWS: Ron, do you think there might be a soupcon of ethnic gaming in this, the pictures they put in there? Obama and Bloomberg? Maybe a soupcon, a little spoonful of throwing in the ethnic part? It might just turn off people in West Virginia. I mean, I’m just thinking what game they’re playing there?
REAGAN: Obama looked awfully dark in that picture. Didn’t he?
Not to put too fine a point on it, but since Obama is the product of a union between a Caucasian woman, Stanley Ann Dunham and a black man, Barack Obama the senior (some believe that Obama was sired by Frank Marshall Davis, a radical black communist), just how is it that the son, Barack Hussein Obama is only qualified as “black”?
Does this not require some sort of test, something like a blood quantum?
A blood quantum is a scale on which the “blood” content of the parents determines racial identity. In early 1700’s, the Commonwealth of Virginia adopted several laws that identified a half black person as a mulatto, a quarter black as a quadroon and one-eighth black, an octaroon.
It might surprise you that beyond programs like Affirmative Action where race is a matter of self-identification, there are actually programs based on blood quantum in use today, common among them are the ones used in the sovereign tribal areas of the Native Americans and the Hawaiian Home Lands Program, one of the requirements is:
You must be a native Hawaiian, defined as “any descendant of not less than one-half part of the blood of the races inhabiting the Hawaiian Islands previous to 1778.” This means, you must have a blood quantum of at least 50 percent Hawaiian. This requirement remains unchanged since the HHCA’s passage in 1921.
Could it be the culture that Obama grew up in?
But don’t his supporters constantly remind us of his non-traditional childhood as Barry Soetoro? Time spent at Occidental College, Columbia and Harvard Law School, and a $1.65 million house in the Kenwood District of Chicago doesn’t really seem to conform to what many blacks define as the “black experience”.
In the minds of the racist in the American south of the post-Civil War era, any black blood made one a negro. Why is Obama not termed “multi-racial” or even “white”, either is as accurate as calling him “black”.
Liberals are overwhelming in favor of racial preference programs.
So, are the minds of the American left in tune with a racial identification system rooted in slave trade of the 1700’s?
Or could it be that they, like Obama, use a racial definition that they know to be politically expedient?
They know that the use of “multi-racial” or “white” eliminates the possibility to cover his inadequacies by invoking slavery, discrimination and the civil rights strife of the 1960’s.
Since blacks, especially young blacks, are suffering disproportionately under Obama’s regime, it would seem that they would understand that white liberals like Chris Matthews only care about their skin color when it can benefit them.
Who are the real racists now?
