ORLANDO, Fla. (TheBlaze/AP) — Attorney General Eric Holder on Tuesday strongly criticized stand-your-ground laws that allow a person who believes he is in danger to use deadly force in self-defense.
For those who do not know the U.S. Constitution, this is a clear and blatant violation of the U.S. Constitution and Holder’s oath of office to protect, defend and uphold the Constitution. Why do I say that? Because of this:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.
Holder has no business attacking the State laws. In fact, he has a duty to uphold them. By “republican form of government,” the Constitution means the people of each State get to make their own laws and the Federal government is tasked with upholding them unless they violate the U.S. Constitution. There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that denies an individual the right to protect themselves. In fact, the 2nd Amendment was included – in part – to guarantee that we can defend ourselves.
Holder, and his boss, Obama, are tyrants — pure and simple. And the spineless weasels in the Republican Party who refuse to impeach him because they fear losing an election are equally to blame. Because they support this move toward tyranny, or because they are too cowardly to risk losing an election as opposed to losing the nation is irrelevant. The Republicans have a duty to impeach this man and his entire Administration before it’s too late. That is, if it isn’t already too late.
Those who continue to complain about me connecting the path this nation is on to that traveled by 1930’s Germany need to understand that this is yet another example of the similarity. This is how Hitler eroded the legal protections the Germans had under the Weimar Republic: little by little. The more he did without the people resisting, the more he took. The bolder he acted and the more the people stayed silent, the bolder and more brazen he became. There was a point in 1933 when, had the people and the rest of the world stood up to him, Hitler would likely have fallen from power. After all, his government was compassed of crooks and psychopaths (sound familiar? It’s the Chicago way). But people stood silent, cowering in fear, and the world was plunged into WW II. We are seeing a repeat of this pattern, only, this time, it is in a nation with the potential to be the greatest force for evil this world has ever seen — the United States. And, in a place that claims to be the land of the free and home of the brave, still we remain silent.
