My first book, The American Mandarin, will be published and available for purchase on August 15th, 2013. It is the story of intrigue, espionage, genetic manipulation and the science of epigenetics (genetic memory) and how an unsuspecting American family gets caught in the middle of a generational battle between two superpowers and their proxies.
It can be purchased for $3.99 a copy through Smashwords and will also be available at Barnes and Noble, Apple and Sony e-books as well. There may be a print edition later – after we see if this thing is worth killing a few trees for.
The first two chapters of the second book in the series (untitled as of yet) will be up here on this site by Sunday, August 4th.
Hopefully, it will be out in time for Christmas…
I can’t wait! If you don’t print it, how am I to get an autographed copy?
To those of you who haven’t read M.’s book, you must! If you like Vince Flynn, Lee Childs, Tom Clancy, &c., you will love M.’s writing! Let me just say that Jack Reacher is now going to have to take a backseat to my new crush, Michael Scott. Now I’ll have to do a Michael Scott Rule 5…….
If it sells enough, there will be a print edition…if not, I’ll print one especially for you…
Utah: Congratulations on completing your novel! That by itself is an immense accomplishment, and I can’t wait to pick up a copy. I do enjoy the genre you describe, so good times are ahead. CDE
is this your first book? Those other posts are they part of your book?
First book. The raw, unedited version of the first half or so is up in the masthead of the blog. There have been some refinements but the plot generally remains the same.
Good for you Michael. I’ll definitely get a copy.
Did you prepare the manuscript for e-conversion, or pay someone to do it?
Steve: I did it. It took a little work, Microsoft Word isn’t completely ideal for online publishing but I’m done except for the cover art that is coming early next week.
When I looked at the style sheet, I was a bit intimidated. But since, I now am looking at a third rewrite, I may take another look.
Good deal Utah. I enjoyed what I read of it and it is in the genre I typically read. I hope you do make a print version as I don’t have a “reader.” Perhaps one of those will be on my Christmas list this year.
Well done Utah. I look forward to reading it!
Can’t wait to purchase my copy!
