What’s in a name …

Does the US Constitution allow for a judge to rename your child?  This judge thinks so;

“The word Messiah is a title and it’s a title that has only been earned by one person and that one person is Jesus Christ,” – Child Support Magistrate Lu Ann Ballew

So do we have a lawful ruling under the Constitution, or is this having their rights trampled upon?   How about naming a college “Messiah College”? How about this?

Any of Joe’s previous tyranny bells resonating, yet?

Tennessee judge rules infant’s name must be changed from ‘Messiah’

The mother intends to appeal the decision.

  1. Unfortunately, a parent may legally name their child Messiah, Massengill, Menstruation, or Meningitis. Fortunately, the child may change their name……if they’re not psychologically warped beyond recognition when the time comes.
