For Whatsoever A Man Soweth, That Shall He Also Reap

Galatians 6:7-9

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

And so the fruits of Obama, the liberals and “progressives” are harvested.

A brutal Middle Eastern dictator allegedly uses chemical weapons on his own people and the US seeks to intervene.

Sound familiar?

It should – Saddam gassed the Kurds in 1988.

After 9/11, Bush went to Congress for authorization for military force – the same as his father did for Gulf War I after the invasion of Kuwait. George W. Bush, went not once -but twice, both times going to war with a coalition of the willing. I noted it here in a response to a post at Professor McPherson’s site:

Just in case you are curious, the vote tallies for “Bush’s War” were as follows:

October 2002 – HJRes 114, the “Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 passed the House 296 to 133 and the Senate 77 to 23. Who voted and how is here.

The vote on the Authorization For Use Of Military Force in Afghanistan was 420 to 1 in the House and 98 to 0 in the Senate. Find that here.

All of this was after 9/11 and the Iraq vote was after 16 toothless UN resolutions over 22 years finally led to Resolution 1441(unanimously passed by the UN Security Council). 1441 was the international legal basis for the war…but the assumption with “progressives” was that nobody would ever actually enforce it – until President Bush led a coalition that actually did.

There was also a time when Democrats thought Afghanistan was a “good war”: here and here – at least until they saw it as a wedge against Bush and Republicans. It is hard to argue that they weren’t all in and then changed like the kid who killed his parents and then claimed leniency because he was an orphan.

Now even the UK won’t believe us and France is still saying – “you do it – we got your back” – and that worked soooo well in WWII.

Obama and his ilk spent the entire Bush administration tearing down George Bush personally and delegitimizing every military and intelligence effort of this country…for nothing more than political advantage. Biden threatened impeachment if Bush went it alone:

The president has… no…. Constitutional… authority to take this nation to war against a country of 70 million people unless we’re attacked, or unless there is proof that we are about to be attacked,” Biden declared, loud and clear.  “And if he does, I would move to impeach him.  The House, obviously, has to do that.  But I would lead an effort to impeach him.”

Candidate Obama said that going it alone was unconstitutional:

“The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation,” candidate Obama told The Boston Globe in late 2007. He added that the president can only act unilaterally in “instances of self-defense.”

But then the left wants what the left wants and they will do anything to get it:

What I also find repugnant about your position is your easy and capricious indictment of Republicans and conservatives as the “chicken hawks”. The true chicken hawks are the weak willed and spineless civilian and elected leadership, most of who are Democrats, and who vote for actions in public and then proceed to 1) work against them behinds the scenes or 2) openly lose their nerve when things get difficult. These are your so called “chicken hawks”, the men and women who vote to do something and then say “well, I didn’t know you really meant it.” If you will look at the vote tallies for the three conflicts that I spoke of you will find that we actually did have votes and authorizations in Congress and then you can see that the true cowards are people like Reid, Pelosi, Dick Durban, Kerry, the late John Murtha, etc – Democrat liberals, all.

They supported actions that were clearly going to lead to armed conflict and then bailed on supporting aggressive prosecution of the mission when it was politically advantageous. Just like in Veitnam with the Tet Offensive, these political opportunists have turned victory into something else and thereby guaranteed that the conflicts will be far more prolonged and painful than necessary, to borrow your phrase, effectively “spitting on the military”.

Now Obama’s White House (Valerie Jarrett) has turned on the UK:

So when Prime Minister David Cameron was unable to muster the votes in Parliament for support for a strike in Syria — even one limited to stopping the future use of chemical weapons — shock could be heard in the voices of senior White House officials who never saw the British rejection coming.

“Bungled by Cameron,” said one.

“Embarrassing,” said another. “For Cameron, and for us.”

In case Obama can’t read the tea leaves allow me – that was a big “Fuck you, you can’t be trusted” from Parliament.

It is so bad, the French looking Secretary of State is praising the Frogs:

In laying out the case for military strikes on Syria, Secretary of State John Kerry on Friday had praise for the French, who he called “our oldest ally,” but snubbed any mention of the British, who have long believed they enjoyed a “special relationship” with the U.S.

Now they don’t think anything they fought to impose on Bush should really apply to them.

Just for the record, this is a real picture of Swift Boat Johnnie, Teresa and who???

Why shut my mouth – it is Mr. and Mrs. Bashar al-Assad with the Heinz-Kerry’s…(but in all fairness, this was when they were being called “reformers” by Hillary and other members of the administration).

San Fran Nan the Botox Queen also had a bit of a chummy relationship with the tyrant.

But then coddling and cozying up to middle eastern tyrants was just the vogue thing to do to rub Bush the Warmonger’s nose in it.

Congrats, “progressive” fuckwads – your deligitimization of the very government you now control is complete. Boy who cried wolf and shit like that.

What a pack of liars, narcissists and megalomaniacs we have for a government. No wonder no one in the world trust us.

But that was what they were after wasn’t it – except you can’t get credit for fixing a problem you created…and the anti-military, anti-Republican, anti-Constitution “progressive” liberal Democrats own this fucking mess. After what Obama, Biden, Kerry, Pelosi and Hillary said and did to Bush, if there is one American bomb dropped on Syrian soil, every damn one of them should be arrested at gunpoint and secured at Fort Leavenworth.

In the words of Barry’s lifelong pastor, Jeremiah Wright:

“The chickens have come home…to roost.”

  1. “Mindful of public opinion, Kerry urged Americans to read the four-page assessment for themselves. He referred to Iraq — when Bush administration assurances that weapons of mass destruction were present proved false, and a U.S. invasion led to a long, deadly war. Kerry said this time it will be different. “We will not repeat that moment,” he said.” (John Kerry)

Kerry (and Obama) are still practicing deception by deflection (blaming Bush II). He seems to forget Saddam gassed the Kurds in 1988 and Bush I responded to that attack (and the attack on Kuwait) by bombing the hell out Iraq January 1991. Bush I was widely criticized by calling off the ground war after only 100 hours stating –

” . . . he did not give the order to overthrow the Iraqi government because it would have “incurred incalculable human and political costs…We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq”.

Sound familiar? Yep, just like Obama and Kerry, but Kerry instead chose to throw in Bush II and mention “weapons of mass destruction”. If Obama, Kerry, and the Dems decide to (and they will) strike Syria with missiles, they will be following in the footsteps of Bush I, and in fact, “repeating the moment”.
