President Clinton’s officials facilitated Fidel Castro and Cuban government officials, and fought to return Elian Gonzalez back to Cuba.  Guardian reports in Elian Gonzalez, 10 years on:

Seven months on, the anti-Castro movement is in disarray, having staked all its authority on keeping Elián in the US and having lost decisively in the courts. The final blow came yesterday with a Supreme Court decision not to hear the case, effectively siding with Juan Miguel and the US government, who argued that only Elián’s father could speak on his behalf.

In Cuba, Fidel Castro has been strengthened. Elián has been a rallying call for a population tired of the privations of isolation and central planning. An announcer on state television declared that Elian’s teachers would now “undertake the masterful work of making him a model child”. Elián and the schoolmates who have been keeping him company in Washington left the airport for a seaside government villa in the suburbs of Havana, where they are due to spend a couple of weeks catching up on schoolwork before returning to his home town, Cardenas.

All you Clinton, Democrat, Progressive, and Communist apologists, here is the rest of the story.  In Cuba, the State, not parents, OWN you.  OWN your children.  OWN your life.

The Elian Gonzalez saga 10 years later: Exiles’ miracle boy missed, ever-present

People may have forgotten her name — Elizabeth Brotons — but no one here will ever forget her son: Elian Gonzalez.

It was 10 years ago this week that the world watched U.S. Border Patrol agents storm the Gonzalez home on this humble block and seize the 6-year-old refugee boy at gunpoint.

Elian, subject of an epic tug of war between Havana and the boy’s Miami relatives, was snatched from inside a closet in the wee hours of April 22 and delivered to his father, who waited with Castro government escorts in Maryland. Two months later, after a family battle in the court, the boy’s father took him back to Cuba.

Elian was the boy whose story hit Miami with the force of a Category 5 hurricane, the boy whose mother died at sea when their boat sank in their escape from Cuba. Adrift alone, the boy clung to an inner tube for two days before he was rescued by fisherman. He came to live with his closest living relatives, the Gonzalezes of Northwest Second Street.

A decade after Elian was taken away, his former neighbors still convene as a sort of group therapy.

I thought I lived in the land of the free with liberty and justice for all?

We learn Obama’s attorneys worked to deport the German Family who merely wished to be free, OWN their lives, so their children could OWN their lives…In other words, be free, live in liberty.  As Utah just posted:  Home schooling family assaulted by german government.  But alas, the leviathon owns you, owns me, and owns our children.

Obama, a progressive, is merely carrying forward Bill Clinton’s actions.  Remember Hillary Clinton is a self avowed “Wilson Progressive”, and Woodrow Wilson coined the term “Progressive” to describe “American Communist”.
