Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” contains Rule 4:
“Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)
Allowing a humanitarian crisis to be created on our southern border with Mexico through passive aggressive action (inaction) is an example of this rule. Using children, our own government is forcing the American public to choose between the natural compassion of America and the necessity to protect our sovereignty and borders.
I was neither the first nor the most recent to openly question if a nation is really a nation if it is unwilling to protect its own sovereignty.
This is an evil action taken by an administration that has taken plausible deniability to levels that Nixon only wished he could have done. It is a vile act of unfathomable cynicism taken against the American people who are now faced with the impossible choice between the law and compassion.
Obama knows which side most Americans will take – he knows that those who side with compassion will be attacked by those who side with sovereignty and he also knows that those who side with the rule of law will be open to vilification by his supporters who have trolled for amnesty for years in support of open borders.
Glenn Beck has chosen to help the children first and has been savaged for his trouble as an Obama shill, an opportunist and even a progressive. The people of Murrieta, California have stood for the rule of law and are portrayed in the media as bearing racist hatred of “child migrants”. Obama opened up the Republicans in Congress by requesting $3.7 billion in funding for his “man-caused disaster” – now he can tar them as hating brown children for not appropriating the money – even though little of it will ever go to the kids.
It should be noted that we already spend over $1.15 billion a year caring for illegal immigrant children.
Obama may appear to be aloof and disengaged but using brown children from Central America as his instrument and Alinsky’s “Rules” as his songbook, he is playing the psyche of the American public like a $2 dime store ukulele.
