You read that title correctly. If Obama can force neighborhoods to accept people they would rather not live with, then there is not right to gay marriage. The freedom of association is a Constitutionally protected right. It falls under the 9th and 10th Amendments. This is also where you find the right to contract. Both rights form the foundation for any claim homosexuals may make to a right to marriage. By claiming he has the authority to force communities to accept people with whom they would rather not associate, Obama is claiming the freedom of association and right to contract are NOT Constitutional rights. Therefore, there can be no right to marriage and it can be outlawed by popular vote of the people.
