I’m always happy to answer requests. Mr. Gates had a problem with a post I wrote back in August titled “Saint Mike” about Mike Brown and how the evidence indicated that there were a lot of lies told to create a myth about a person who never existed. Mr. Gates decided to email me and inform me of my racism. It all started with this exchange from back in August that I posted here. After 4 months of silence, Mr. Gates has decided to notify me of my continuing racism and requested that do “another racist post.”
I think the recent exchange qualifies as racism, just not the way Mr. Gates thought it did, so here is the exchange and I’ll let readers decide for themselves.

If I was raised in the hills of Mississippi in the 50’s I probably wouldn’t think I was racist either… Medgar Evers? Emmett Till? Michael Schwerner, Andrew Goodman and James Chaney? Cecil Price is probably one of your heroes. I know Bull Connor is.Mississippi Burning….

You know nothing about me or how I grew up but through your unprovoked attacks on me via email, I’m learning a lot about you. There is something incredibly wrong with the way you see the world if you think I subscribe to the beliefs of any of the people you mention. You want to see true racist? Look in a mirror.

Ahhh…..are you deploying the old, “It’s takes one to know one” logic?Come on Utah, don’t be so sensitive! I see the world the way it is. And yes, something is terribly wrong when those people died in your home state and nothing was done about it. That’s how I see it.

No – just reflecting the fact that you see me as racist because I am white and wrote an opinion post based on facts you do not accept. The operative word here is “white”. To assume that I am biased against black people because of where I was born and my skin color is…well, that is racism.Well, Christmas is a time for redemption. I hope you find a way to overcome your racist beliefs.
Merry Christmas.

Hmmm…..that’s actually not the definition of racism. That would prejudiced. You could say that about me, but my prejudment of you is correct based on your prior articles. If something is so bad about people of a different race but you yourself have said that you’d do exactly the same thing that Madela did and you ignore it when whites do these things then…..I’ll let you finish the rest.
Your articles mainly have a bigoted slant.
Merry Christmas to you and yours and have a safe and Happy New Year.

Nothing pleases me more than when people know what I would say when I never would say such a thing but believe whatever you wish – I’m happy to debate on facts but you are debating on what you believe I said and that it was racist. You are right about the definition – that was my definition in your case but it isn’t prejudice – it is bigotry, intolerance toward those who hold different opinions from oneself…that, my friend describe what you have done here. I have no idea who you really are but to come out of nowhere after months of silence and try to pick a fight would seem to indicate that I’m not the one with issues.
I’m done with this – you asked me to do a racist post – I think I will. I’ll just post all of these emails and let others who read them decide who the racist is.
Having moved from San Francisco to South Carolina the attitudes voiced by Mr Gates are familiar to me. A friend who had gone to MBA School with my husband asked if he and his wife visited would they be staying in the slave quarters? That won’t be necessary since neither my husband or myself will be extending an invitation to this bigot & wife.
When the Charleston Church shooting took place at Mother Emanuel many were sure rioting and racial strife would follow. Instead, the people of Charleston came together in a way I haven’t seen in this country in a long, long time.
There are a lot of stereotypes about the south & the people who live here. Having lived in SC for 2 years now I can tell you my experience is that living here has made me a better person, a kinder & more thoughtful person. I’d like to be as good a person as my neighbors have proved themselves to be.
Ahhh….. There he is again Billiam Gates spreading his hate…weaving his web…..as George Baily says William : in the grand scheme of things ….you are nothing but a scurvy little spider weaving his Web of racism.
