The progressive left (via the Democrat Party) is on full display right here, right now. They are in full Floyd Ferris mode.

• A federal judge, one seated on the bench for 12 years, is guilty until he proves himself innocent simply because he is 1) accused, 2) a man, and 3) not a progressive and therefore a direct threat to the progressive agenda.
• Some men rape, therefore all men rape (or support rape) and are therefore trash.
• No women have ever lied about sexual assault, even though some have.
• If you don’t believe one woman about her sexual assault because she waits 36 years to report it, produces no evidence, files no official complaint with law enforcement, and has no corroborating witnesses to even support her story about time and place – never mind the act itself – you are saying you don’t care about any sexual assault victims.
• If you don’t fight back against spurious charges it is because you have accepted your guilt and if you do fight back, it is because you are guilty and angry you were caught.
• To achieve a political end, Democrats act with extreme unfairness while feigning fairness.

This is what everyone in America can expect if these people, bearing this ideology, are ever in control of the country again. Democrats have been on this path for decades but now with the open calls for socialism and the appetite of many for destruction of institutions that have been the foundation of America since its founding, they are letting their Stalinist freak flag fly.

If you are paying attention to what is happening to Judge Kavanaugh, you are seeing a man who would have been approached as Neil Gorsuch was – pretty much uncontroversial – except for one reason. Where Gorsuch was a constitutionalist who replaced another constitutionalist, the great Antonin Scalia, Kavanaugh is to replace an arguably inconsistent constitutionalist, Anthony Kennedy. That tilts the balance from four to four with a Jeff Flake like justice to an expected five to four with five constitutionalists who could be expected to rule most adventures in extra-constitutional social engineering and socialist policies and laws unconstitutional.

But on a macro scale, this isn’t even about Judge Kavanaugh. Unable to defeat Kavanaugh on the merits, the progressive left sought to destroy the man’s character and life. That this strategy will work is dubious, mostly because the tactic they chose – to their have their chosen delivery vehicle, a mousy, confused, pitiable social science college professor of questionable mental and emotional stability (an argument over a renovation allegedly “triggered” all of this) named Christine Blasey Ford, accuse him of an alleged stale, 36 year-old “crime” that is so hot right now in the “believe all women because all men are guilty of something” #metoo age.

It seems the Democrats realize that even with an extra week to, as James Carville once said, drag a hundred dollar bill through a trailer park, this strategy is a winner – so now they have decided to go to war with the highest court in the land in an attempt to delegitimize it because it will likely have two men seated that were accused and exonerated of ludicrous sexual harassment/assault charges.

Another institution progressive seeks to destroy is the Electoral College – and this isn’t about improving the quality of our votes, quite the opposite. It is no secret that people who live in more densely populated areas, areas where government is necessary to do things they cannot do for themselves, are far more comfortable with government regulation and oversight than are people who live in less populated areas where they are more apt to have to do things for themselves. Elimination of the Electoral College places the power of the federal government directly in the hands of those densely populated areas.

Also note that the Democrats began talking about impeaching a duly elected president before he was inaugurated, and they are now talking about impeaching an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court before he is seated.

The progressive left makes a lot of noise that sounds like freedom, but it is nothing but noise. From the professional and personal destruction of Judge Kavanaugh, to the de-legitimization of the Supreme Court, to impeachment, to the destruction of the Electoral College and the representative republic it defends, this is all about power.
