What we are seeing in our politics today is the complete disconnect of our government and the people. People in government live in one world and the people in another – that’s the only way to explain the lack of concern over the riots in the cities run by Lori “Baby Groot” Lightfoot, Ted “Soyboy” Wheeler (real name is even soyier – Edward Tevis Wheeler), Jenny “Summer of Love” Durkan, and Jacob “One Headlight” Frey (he reminds me of that song by Jakob Dylan).

The Democrats no longer see a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, they see a people of the government, by the government and for the government. People are cannon fodder for political battles. There is less and less concern for the broader citizenry and more and more concern for what happens within political circles – citizens are quickly becoming a means to an end.

Where are the Republicans?

Of all the times I have seen in my life, now is the time when the absurdist Democrats are the weakest. They are failing at governance, they are proposing national policies that would end the America of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, they are irrational and illogical and in complete opposition to “the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God”. They are liars who contradict themselves, sometimes in the same statements. They are libelers and slanderers – protected by a fawning media that knows the truth but refuses to report it.

Yesterday I watched as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris gave speeches that contained proven, debunked falsehoods as support for their candidacy. As we know, when any argument begins with a false premise, everything that follows is also false. This was that. Is that the kind of leadership America needs?

Where are the men (or women) of honor and courage – like Ronald Reagan and the Calvin Coolidge – when we need them?

Cowardly Republicans like Mitt Romney and Ben Sasse are ready to abandon President Trump. We are quickly learning that the NeverTrumpers like the Bushes and John Kasich were always Democrats in sheep’s clothing and their neocon enablers like Bill Kristol were really neoprog grifters all along.

In sane times, this would be another Mondale/Ferraro ticket. Laughed out of town as they rode to a crushing electoral defeat – but nothing is outside the realm of possibility today.

William F. Buckley once noted he would “rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard University”, I don’t think he would say that today. I certainly wouldn’t – because at least 200 of them are either communists or so ignorant that they can’t name two rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights (and most of those are Harvard graduates).
Time to stand up an be counted folks – literally. You may consider President Trump to be inarticulate, crass, rude even. You may consider Trump a liar – but you should also consider how many times his “lies” were the basis for public policy (the answer is none) as compared to things like DACA, Obamacare, “hands up, don’t shoot” and defunding the police.

You may think he is not the person you want – but he is none of the things the Democrat say he is…and he is the only person standing between us and a disaster from which there is no recovery.
