Official Truth

For the first time in my six decades of life, there is an “official truth”.

The various bans from social media are based on allegations of the parties spreading “lies” and “misinformation” and “inciting violence”, but those supposed “lies” and “misinformation” are not lies and misinformation at all, they are only disagreement with the approved, “official truth” as decided by our government. “Inciting violence” is merely defined as questioning the “official truth” (which is not really truth, but a narrative).

Simply questioning election results that just do not make sense is not the same as yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theater.

Actually, just demanding to have grievances heard is now equal to insurrection, treason and inciting a coup – which is interesting because we were told prior to the election in November of 2020 that all protests/riots by ANTIFA and BLM were the highest form of patriotism, completely legitimate ways to express disapproval and one CNN spokesmoron even said that such violence is an American tradition, the way the nation began.

The media and the various government officials casually state “there is no evidence” of election fraud and claims otherwise are lies, conspiracy theories, fantasies and false information. Why, the social media “fact checkers” say so, so they must be right.

But is the “official truth” about the election really THE truth?

Given the historical performance of the group telling us it is the truth, there is reason for doubt. These are the people who have created an alternative world of relativity where there are 5,732 genders, black Americans who didn’t vote for them aren’t really black, everything they don’t like is racism and everyone with whom they disagree is literally Hitler (until they are not, look how the Democrats have already rehabilitated Romney now that he agrees with them).

The fact is, we do not know the truth. We do not know because the powers that be refused to look, they refused to even consider the possibility that the grievances of 70 million plus American citizens are valid and worthy of at least an investigation even though those grievances are based on thousands of affidavits, questionable actions caught on video in the counting locations, documented statistical anomalies seen in official election data and overt changes in state election laws, regulations and procedures that certainly appear to violate both state and US constitutions.

“Nothing to see here. Everything was done properly. Shut up and stop tearing down democracy or we will shut you up,” say the very government officials who would have their asses in a sling if there was something wrong. Total trustworthy, just trust them. “These aren’t the ballot droids you are looking for. Move along.”

Yelling “You can’t handle the truth!”, Colonel Jessup style, at 70 million people ain’t gonna do it. Keeping the truth from the people only increases suspicion and fuels extremism as people, rightly or wrongly, fill in the blanks for themselves.

If you have not read Hayek’s “Road to Serfdom”, you should immediately do so – at least look at this link for the cartoon/graphic novel version (from a booklet produced by General Motors and nationally published in “Look” magazine in 1945).

Conventional wisdom says “Road” was a warning against socialism, and it does, but its primary warning goes a bit deeper. It concerns not Soviet-style socialism but rather the fascist form that was then sweeping through Europe. Hayek sought to demonstrate that fascist forms of economic organization were not peculiar to the “German mind” or limited to rarified times and places but rather represent a grave danger to the whole world.

An important excerpt from Hayek’s book is this:

“𝐀 𝐟𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞: 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡. 𝐓𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲, 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥; 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧. You might want to stare at that last sentence for a moment before you read this next excerpt. Hayek continues:

“𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞. The Democrat Party and their surrogates have been praising collectivism, in general, for decades and heaping praise on communist China, in specific. Just as globalism caused our businesses to adopt the mores of communist countries as they sought to maintain access to those markets, our social media AND the party about to be in total control of our government have also adopted those same mores.

We are in trouble folks, and I do not say that lightly. As I have said in the past, it isn’t that we are ignorant of history, the problem is that we simply choose to ignore it.

We have engaged in intercourse (according to President Dementia), a one night stand with domestic and international communists without a prophylactic, and now we are shocked and surprised America is pregnant.

And as we know, there ain’t no such thing as being “a little bit pregnant”.

Killing this clump of cells, this malignant collectivist tumor, is the only form of elective abortion my conscience would allow.

  1. It might be time to add a Parler and MeWe icon link at the end of each article since many of us are leaving the officially approved censorship ministry of Facebook.

  2. A policeman died doing his duty, killed by some yahoo who bashed him in the head with a fire extinguisher. That man, stupid as he was, would not have been at the Capitol trying to break in and interfere with our congressman’s legislative duties, we’re it not for firebrand rebel rousing anti-American jerks like you, Utah. This is on your head as much as anybody else’s, you are a danger to this country, you are a menace to all of us. You disgust me, everybody who reads you and likes you disgust me. Rot in HELL!

    • You are a moron and a liar. Your sympathies are based on ideology. You sat on your fat ass when cops were killed by BLM radicals in Dallas, when people were killed in Portland and while the livelihoods of innocent people were destroyed in Minneapolis, Portland, Kenosha and Philadelphia. Why? Because you agree with the ideology of the people doing it.

Let’s wait to see the identity of the person wielding the fire extinguisher before we assign responsibility to one side or the other. One of the people arrested was a BLM activist from here in Utah – doubt he was there in support of Trump. We already know that the Capitol police killed an unarmed woman by shooting through a window, so there’s that to consider as well.

Your presence on this forum is a privilege that can be revoked. I can’t believe we once thought you were reasonable enough to be a contributor here.

      • And I can’t believe that I once thought you were a loyal American, but I was wrong, you support treason and insurrection. Thanks but no thanks for the white privilege of reading your unAmerican garbage. Any condemnation of me by you I will wear as a badge of honor.

  3. I don’t use any “Social” networks.
I made my living working with computers developing software.
My first Windows projects were booting from a single 3.5 inch floppy disk.
I was was consulting with this young guy in Seattle when he moved from one floor to a second floor.
This nascent company was known as Microsoft and was run by this short guy with thick glasses.
    Guess who?

I wanted to do with “Big Business” and worked fro the next 40+ years working with small companies
of about 100 people.in rural Virginia.

I never trusted large companies. I never trusted the smoke blown by all the wunderkinds who loved bigger and bigger. I was in hog heaven when email allowed to speak far and wide simple simple as cow flop. I correspond with a few other sites but the Rio Norte is my rock.

I don’t advertise this, but when I was shipped off to New York Military Academy (II was too interested in reading anything but textbooks) I spent two years teaching this remarkable guy named Trump.
    ,
My experiences kept be away from “Social Networks”. No Facebook, no Twitter, no nothing.

Life is easier when one understands that Less is More.

    ‘Nuff Said.
