I’m willing to consider that President Trump incited a riot at the Capitol the minute someone explains to me how the things Pelosi, AOC, Harris, Biden, and other Congressional Democrats and Democrat mayors and governors said in encouragement and support of ANTIFA and BLM rioters wasn’t incitement.

Democrat politicians and Republican quislings got a taste of their own medicine on January 6th and they didn’t like it. It’s perfectly fine for a rioter to burn down your business but if some idiot steals Pelosi’s podium, it is a “white nationalist insurrection” and every supporter of the President must be sent to the camps.

The single biggest problem in our country today is that half of it is so completely delusional and mired in hysterics, they only believe their on myth making and lies and have no room in their brains for anything counter to their myths. The only, and I mean the ONLY, way for these people to rationalize their delusions is to create an alternate world where their ideas and intentions can survive and their actions are considered real and proper.

But that alternate world has no basis in reality and requires energy to be expended every second, every minute, hour and day to be sustained. That is the major reason we live in a world of propaganda and agitprop. Without constant maintenance through agitation, the “reality” of a post truth, postmodernist world simply self destructs.

Agitprop serves to occupy the mind with conflict, contradiction and confusion and propaganda promises clarity by easy access to the approved narrative – what people should think about the controversies.
The same people who create the issues, tell you what you should think and do about the issues they created. It’s perfect, the ultimate self-licking ice cream cone.

When history is written, postmodernist and deconstructionist philosophy will be recognized as both the cause and the reason of the rise of communism and the catastrophic decline of discourse in post millennial America. The inverse relationship of those two things is not coincidence. Marx preached relativism – there is no objective or universal truth, no value in history, there is only how you perceive the present, a belief shared with postmodernism.

Post-modernists, deconstructionists and contemporary progressives are the creation of a successful and productive society. They exist as a luxury appendage to a society that produces more than it consumes, thereby providing the time and money for pseudo intellectuals to tear down the very mechanism that allows them to exist. This type of reductive and destructive reasoning is totally worthless to society. It helps no one in understanding anything and serves only as a convenient excuse for the harsh reality of the world and the interactions of its inhabitants.

I have written before about Thorstein Veblen, an economist and sociologist, who made observations about social class in the late nineteenth century and his idea that there is a “leisure class” that holds “luxury beliefs”. In “The Theory of the Leisure Class”, he stated that the “leisure class” – affluent people – display their membership in the upper class with their material accouterments. For example, expensive designer clothing or driving an Aston Martin convey such “membership”.

But I think that Veblen’s theory applies across all economic and social classes – as always, there is a segment of each social and economic class (upper, middle, lower), who send the same signals to their cliques that they are moving up. That is why we saw looting of certain stores during the recent “protests” and the theft of flat screen TV’s and other luxury goods first before basic sustenance needs were stolen. It is why Starbucks sells drums of awful coffee at inflated prices. The term “spendthrift” comes to mind.

Post-modernism, deconstructionism and progressivism are all the result of individuals seeking to explain their lack of success, societal mobility and meaningful achievement in the face of the objective success of productive members of society and individual self-determination. They are incapable of coming to terms with their own limitations; therefore they must construct an alternative explanation for their lack of tangible value to society through a system of pseudo-logic.

The issue with this is that it has absolutely no basis in reality – similar to the theory of Marx and Engels that capital and labor have existed in an eternally antagonistic relationship, this is a contradiction. Capital and labor have always prospered when they act in cooperation with each other. That’s what capitalism is all about.

It may well seem to the rational mind that the rise of collectivism (some call it progressivism), supposedly the cure for class warfare, is a child of prosperity. That seems a contradiction – and it is – but progressivism thrives on contradiction.

I have always proposed that post-modern thought, collectivism, and the idea of “social justice” are symptoms of the disease of progressivism and progressivism is the disease of prosperity, of generations never having to face the fires of Hades in a fight for survival. Like the foppish and frivolous people of the Roaring Twenties, the current blizzard of our precious, special snowflakes was created by such a historical period where hardship is defined as not having the latest iPhone or suffering with slow Internet.

I’ve said it before – but that we would be here today was a historical inevitability and entirely predictable.
