We need a version of instant replay for politics, just like is used in college football and the NFL.

Any fan of these sports can recall situations when a player gets penalized for an altercation and during the replay, it is revealed that the other party, the one who didn’t draw a penalty, had been goading the alleged offender into reacting until he draws a flag.

Fast forward to today.

The Democrats in Washington have recoiled in horror that a small number of protestors chose to riot and penetrate the Capitol for a few hours. This incident, caused by a small minority of a larger protest, occurred after four years of the leftist Democrats demeaning, disrespecting, and goading half of America into a response.

These rioters were mostly met with casual, soft resistance as they entered the Capitol but for some reason, this is such an atrocity that people who weren’t even there must be investigated and jailed, half of America should lose their First and Second Amendment rights, their businesses must be removed from the Internet and no Trump supporter should be allowed to walk free until they are “deprogrammed.” Any statement counter to the leftist Democrat approved narrative is “disinformation” and should be quashed.

Apparently “disinformation”, now defined by Democrats as words they don’t like, is now a capital crime, equivalent to murder – but let us just take a look at some recent events that might shed some light on just who is using disinformation to get their way.

I received a notification from NewsMax last night about Fox Business shutting down Lou Dobbs’ highly rated show. Curious, I pulled searched for “Lou Dobbs” to see what happened and the first article that popped up was from CNN. Here is how they described the show:

“The pro-Trump propaganda bent juiced Dobbs’ ratings. But his far-right programming choices repeatedly caused consternation within the company, a source close to the matter said, and his program was a loss leader for Fox because many advertisers didn’t want to be associated with his content.”

“Pro-Trump propaganda”. No bias in that AT ALL. A “source close to the matter”? Great confirmation there, CNN. If Dobbs’ show was a “loss leader”, then maybe the reason the show was removed was financial – or the fact that Fox News and Fox Business have lost quite a few eyeballs since they began their left turn last year.

This is coming from a network who fawned over Adam Schiff, Michael Avenatti, Michael Cohen, Stormy Daniels and Anthony Scaramucci and was second to only MSNBC in promoting every “the walls are closing in” salacious rumor and misinformation during the Russian collusion and impeachment hoaxes. One would think they might want to be careful about using the word “propaganda”, but since they have been mostly that for four years, perhaps they are speaking as subject matter experts.

We keep hearing about the “five people” killed at the January 6th Capitol riot. Aside from the media using the words “stormed” and “insurrection” as if they are established facts (they aren’t – videos are legion of Capitol police letting some protestors pass and the incident doesn’t come close to the definition of “insurrection”), they continue to report propaganda and agitprop about the event.

Here is what we really know about the five people who died:

Benjamin Phillips, 50, of Ringtown Pennsylvania died due to a stroke.

Kevin Greeson, 55, of Athens Alabama died due to a stroke.

Rosanne Boylan, 34, of Kennesaw Georgia was trampled to death as the crowd rushed forward.

Ashli Babbit, 35, was shot and killed by a Capitol policeman. Babbit was unarmed and was shot by an officer through a locked door as she attempted to climb though the broken window of the door. The officer was cleared and reporting on this incident has been sparse.

From broadcast networks to cable news to radio, the left-leaning media are still reporting that Brian Sicknick, the 42-year-old Capitol police officer was beaten by “Trump supporters” with a fire extinguisher. Now it is reported that Sicknick died of yet undetermined causes. Capitol Police said that Sicknick had been “injured while physically engaging with protesters” and he collapsed due to his injuries sometime after returning to his office, passing away the next day in a local hospital. As of today, it is reported the medical examiners did not find signs that the officer sustained any blunt force trauma. After law enforcement officials reviewed video and photographs that show Sicknick engaging with rioters amid the siege, they have yet to identify a moment in which he suffered any fatal injuries. The autopsy results have not been released.
Sicknick was, by all reports, a solid guy, a class policeman and a patriot who served his county in the National Guard, being deployed twice to the Middle East.

But as Democrats seem to have the penchant to do, they are politicizing yet another death. At least they are not dancing around Officer Sicknick’s casket the way they did those of Paul Wellstone and George Floyd, but they are using his death as well as the deaths of the other four people as a mechanism to portray the two-hour riot as an “insurrection” and gain political advantage.

Just compare the media coverage and the tacit approval of Democrats of the “mostly peaceful” riots and looting that ravaged Portland and Seattle (for months on end – and featuring attacks on federal buildings), Minnesota, Kenosha and Philadelphia. Compare their “horror” over the January 6th, 2021 short-lived riot to the “protests” following President Trump’s inauguration in 2017 and the weeklong BLM riots in June of 2020 when St. John’s Church (across from the White House) was set on fire and the Lincoln Memorial and other public monuments were defaced and statuary destroyed.

Want to talk about “disinformation”? The media and the Democrat Party live for disinformation. They thrive on it.

This narrative about January 6th is pure Soviet era dezinformatsiya and agitprop.

Democrats love to say “that’s not who we are” when America disappoints them.
