The Gramps State

Welcome to the “Daddy State”.

Well, not quite a “daddy” – more like the “Gramps State”. I guess the weak-minded and emotionally needy Democrats who wanted to be coddled might have overshot the mark.

Of course, the left uniformly greeted President Biden’s (possibly deep fake) address of last night with accolades because they are members of the segment of America that is deeply emotionally damaged. They are abused children who will accept any lie, confinement, and abuse if it is delivered in a calm, grandfatherly tone. Biden is only doing this because we have been bad and he loves us, right? Children who disobey and do bad things deserve punishment, right? He just wants us to be good. We should only do things that make him happy. Not only did this address confirm Biden’s view of government as parent, it revealed how deeply rooted “battered child syndrome” is within the Democrat party and their media enablers.

Aside from the very real possibility the speech was a pre-recorded production high on the Nora Desmond/Cecil B. DeMille scale, it really was remarkable in the amount of disinformation, condescension, and threats it contained.

Upon reflection on the speech, I heard the following:

  1. Everything you have, I gave it to you.
  2. Remember, you are still grounded.
  3. As long as you live under my roof, you will do what I say. Or else.
  4. Every time you break the rules, a puppy dies.
  5. Obey me and I might unground you – a little – and let you see a few of your friends.
  6. Now go to your room and think about what you did.

Given the complete denial within the Democrat mind that Donald Trump ever existed, one should not have expected that President Trump would be given any credit for the work completed on the Covid-19 vaccines (plural) prior to January 20, 2021. It has been my experience when someone says “I will tell you the truth”, they are about to lie to you.

Even when expecting obfuscation, the revisionist history delivered in calm, measured tone by the current (alleged) president was remarkable. His assertion that “…we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked, denials for days, weeks, then months” was and remains an outright lie. Remember this is the man who was against travel bans from China and on February 1, 2020, said “We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus. We need to lead the way with science — not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering.” He lied and left the impression that nothing was done before he took office and in just 50 days, he has set everything right. He says he put America on a “war footing” when Trump was the one who invoked the Defense Production Act almost a year ago. He claimed he met his goal of a million vaccines a day when that rate was almost achieved on the day he assumed the office.

Grampa Joe reminded us that, even though Neanderthal states like Connecticut (under Democrat governor Ned Lamont) are fully opening, we are still grounded and confined to our room. Even though you have been vaccinated, nobody should “let our guard down. This fight is far from over, as I told the woman in Pennsylvania, I will tell you the truth. On July 4, with your loved ones, is the goal. A lot can happen. Conditions can change. The scientists have made clear the things may get worse again, new variants of the virus spread…”

If you ever want to see your friends again, all you need to do is what I say, just “Listen to Dr. [Anthony] Fauci, one of the most distinguished and trusted voices in the world” and “…keep washing [your] hands, stay socially distanced and keep wearing the mask as recommended by the CDC.” Just “Follow the scientists and the science. Work together. Put trust and faith in our government to fulfill its most important function, which is protecting the American people. No function more important.”

About killing those puppies, you do not want to kill little cute puppies just because you want to go outside, do you? “As I’ve told you before, I carry a card in my pocket with the number of Americans who have died from COVID to date. It’s on the back of my schedule. As of now, total deaths in America, 527,726. That’s more deaths than in World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War and 9/11 combined. They were husbands, wives, sons and daughters, grandparents, friends, neighbors, young and old. They leave behind loved ones, unable to truly grieve or to heal, even to have a funeral… just as we were emerging from a dark winter into a hopeful spring and summer is not the time to not stick with the rules…” You do not want to be the cause of all of that happening again, do you? You are not a killer – or ARE you?

Just obey me and Gramps might unground you – a little. All you have to do is behave and “…[B]y July the 4, there’s a good chance you, your families and friends, will be able to get together in your backyard or in your neighborhood and have a cookout or a barbecue and celebrate Independence Day. That doesn’t mean large events with lots of people together, but it does mean small groups will be able to get together.”

Right now, you just need to go back to your room and think about what you have done. “After long, dark years, one whole year there is light and hope of better days ahead if we all do our part.” If you “…don’t stay vigilant and the conditions change and we may have to reinstate restrictions to get back on track, please, we don’t want to do that again.”

All in all, this address was more of a threat than a promise – but as expected, the abused kids at MSNBC, CNN and in the Democrat party lapped it up because to them, ritual abuse means Gramps loves them.

  1. For better or worse, I have no truck with the public comments of Dem officials. Living in NYS, the onslaught of misinformation, outright prevarication and dismissive condescension has conditioned the many thoughtful, common sense people to ignore such folks while preparing to ensure the politicos will need to find another line of work in the next election cycle.

    • The old “….Silver lining” approach, eh BigBurly.
      I like your thinking.
Miss hearing from you on the old Nox & Friends. Hope you are well my friend.
