Hump day brings us the lovely Anna Torv, a beautiful Aussie lass who, in  2008, broke into US television as she was cast as FBI agent Olivia Dunham opposite Joshua Jackson in the FOX drama Fringe.

Anna was born in Melbourne and moved to Sydney, but she spent her teen years on the Gold Coast. Since graduating from NIDA Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art in 2001, Anna has performed on stage with the Bell Shakespeare Company. Her debut was being the lead female in the theatre production of The Credeaux Canvas.

On television, her first appear appearance was in 2002 on Young Lions, where she played opposite Alexandra Dimitratis. Anna then moved to Adelaide for the film Travelling Light. Then on 2003, she toured Australia on stage playing Ophelia in Hamlet.

Anna then returned to Melbourne to play the role of Nikki on The Secret Life of Us from 2004 to 2005 and guest on Nine’s McLeod’s Daughters. After a couple of movie roles, she landed a recurring role in the BBC drama Mistresses, playing a lesbian who has an affair.
