I officially founded this site in January of 2010.

The old girl ain’t what she used to be, so I’m moving on.

I wanted to thank all the people who have read and commented over the years and followed this blog. I haven’t given up writing, I have been trying out Substack for a while and it fits my needs and activity level better. Revenue here has dropped to nothing – quite a difference from the days when we garnered nearly 10,000 visits a day and the ad impressions were bringing in support funding to keep things moving but those days are gone. It takes a lot of time and energy to put up quality content and pull in eyeballs and I just don’t have the resources to keep up the pace.

Moving to Substack gives me a chance to utilize a subscription model, if you like what I cover, then you may choose to pay a little to help offset the time I spend reading, researching and writing, if you don’t, then you can subscribe free until I do something worth reading – and you can opt out at any time!

I’m not going to close this site down, it will just live on as an archive of nearly a decade and a half of good and bad takes, rants and attempts to provoke thought but it would be great if all 3,823 subscribers to this blog would come see me over at Substack.
