The Salem Witch Trials represented the peak of witch hunting hysteria in America but in fact, they were at the end of a centuries long, church sponsored war to destroy alleged witches and witchcraft all across Europe. Lampooned in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the real tests to determine if someone was a witch or not were not much more “scientific” than those presented in the movie.

Deny you were a witch and that is just what a deceitful succubus would say, right? Admit it and you were a witch – get the stake and kindling ready! Get dropped into a mill pond with a stone tied around your neck, if you floated, you lived to get burned at the stake, if you drowned like a real person, you are still dead but at least not a dead witch.
The witch hunters even had a manual.

Written by a German Catholic clergyman named Heinrich Kramer (under his Latinized name Henricus Institoris), it was first published in the German city of Speyer in 1486. It was called the “Malleus Maleficarum” which is typically translated as the “Hammer of Witches”, the full title “The Hammer of Witches which destroyeth Witches and their heresy as with a two-edged sword”).

Very cool title, right? Heinrich knew it was a best-seller.

Perhaps the greatest (most bloodthirsty) of the witch and heretic hunters was Tomás de Torquemada. Ole Torque is alleged to be responsible for over 2,000 deaths during his term as Grand Inquisitor.

Fast forward to today and it is easy to see many elements of the Inquisition in the Woke movements and their inquisitors, the Social Justice Warriors.
Progressives are searching for a religion. During the 60’s they looked for anything other than Christianity or Judaism because those two told them things about themselves and their actions they didn’t want to hear. These forbade them to do the the things they wanted to do (some of which were nothing more than poling a sharp stick in the eyes of God), so they looked into transactional analysis, meditation, LSD, weed and pretty much any storefront version of other religions to find something that fit them.

So, the folks on the left have landed on a toxic mixture of statism, politics, mysticism and atheism rolled up into a loose ball of something I call “Utopianist paganism” as a substitute for Judeo-Christian theology. Progressivism is now as much a religion as Catholicism, it just replaces a Pope with government, counting on the senior leadership of the Democrat party to be their High Priests and in the process, progressivism has become a very curious mix of the Tribunal of the Holy Office of the Inquisition (the Spanish Inquisition) and the Flagellants, the 13th century group of Roman Catholics who practiced mortification of the flesh by various means. Progressives find pleasure in their self-inflicted pain but really enjoy dosing it out to non-progressives as well.

The problem is that no one really knows the rules of this new religion because they change to fit the need of the moment. What you can say or think and who you can say or think it about changes every minute and what was acceptable yesterday is not acceptable today. You can be right and wrong at the same time but they have chosen racism as the cardinal sin of their religion – and they know a racist witch when the see it.

The current accusations of racism are a lot like being accused of being a witch. If you deny being racist, well, that’s just what a lying racist would say and if you admit to it, you are a racist and you get the modern version of getting burned at the stake – you get fired from your job, you are branded a racist and attacked on social media and people make it their life’s mission to completely destroy your life, you racist.

As a pre-atonement for their sins, whites often seek absolution from their gods. In a May 2018 post at the American Interest titled “Atonement as Activism”, John McWhorter wrote:

“…today’s “woke,” educated white people would quite often lap up being apprised of the racism inside of them by a black speaker they paid, lodged, and fed. That speaker as often as not today is Ta-Nehisi Coates, who charismatically maligns America as a cesspool of bigotry in his writing and in talks nationwide and is joyously celebrated for it by the very people he is insulting.”

Now there seems to be some kind of psychosexual ritualistic BDSM/cuckholding (when a man watches his wife or girlfriend have sex with another man, often a black man known as the “bull”) act where both weak white men and docile and willing white women prostrate themselves in front of their black masters and ask to be forgiven for thought crimes.

Better than being a witch, I guess.

But what they don’t get is that once accused of being a witch, you are a witch – sink or swim. The updated edition of the Malleus Maleficarum – the Malleus Maleracistcarum says so.

Kneeling does not change the fact that the stake and the flame always await.
