Epic Fail: Leftist Boycot of Limbaugh – They Just Don’t Get America

Company That Dumped Limbaugh Over Flukegate Admits: Yeah, That Hurt us More Than we Expected it Would

Oh, yeah, and Carbonite’s decision to abandon the EIB radio network hasn’t work out so well for them.

“On August 1 Carbonite released its 2d Quarter 2012 results, the first full quarter after dropping Limbaugh in March. The results shocked Wall Street, as Carbonite did not meet its growth targets, causing multiple analysts to drop the target price,” William A. Jacobson writes for Legal Insurrection.

“The stock dropped 15 [percent] in a day,” he adds.

I have steadily grown less and less enamored with Limbaugh these past few years, but I was one of the ones who cancelled my Carbonite subscription over this flap.  I’ve simply had it with the attacks on people because their MAJORITY opinions do not agree with the vocal and militant EXTREME MINORITY voices in this country.  The Left fails at these boycotts nearly every time they are tried and, though I disagree with them when the right does them, the right is vastly more effective when they boycott someone — especially when it is the Christian community doing it:

Here Are 7 Other Faith-Related Boycotts Against American Companies (in Addition to Chick-fil-A)

The reason that the Left continuously gets things like this wrong is simple: while they may be U.S. citizens, they do not understand Americans because they are not Americans in their hearts.  It’s that simple.

  1. I am still a Rush fan, B3A, but even if I wasn’t I would have been ticked at Carbonite for their weak-kneed response to this.
Cancelling your sponsorship over that? Ridiculous.

    The result was poetic justice…

    Good post, brother.

  2. I am heartened to see American companies support American values.

My spirits are picked up even more to see America “come out of the woodwork” to show their support for American Values.

    “God Bless America” ! ! !

  3. I have to say, if I see a Obama campaign sticker or sign on a business, I turn and leave. I feel no need to rise a ruckus, or lecture the folks who own, or work there. My money is good everywhere. They want to turn away my business, no big deal. I am sure neither of us are losing sleep over it. Liberals however … something compels them to look stupid, talk stupid, act stupid.

I think they just simply did not get enough prenatal care.

    • I’m with you Augger,
I see an Obama 2012 sticker on a vehicle, I pull up beside them to get a good look. I don’t need to say a word. But they always seem to look a little worried. I just smile and wave.
That way I know what “stupid” looks like next time I encounter it…..

  4. Funny thing about boycotts. If you didn’t use a product or business before the controversy, what’s the point? And the left makes this mistake all the time. The CFA boycott blew up in the face of the liberals. And the most vociferous voices calling for the boycott wouldn’t have been caught dead in a CFA restaurant before the boycott regardless. This point was made by Kathy Shaidle in an interview with Ezra Levant.
