THIS Is How We Stop Mass Murders

By shooting the BAD GUY before he can shoot more than one person (or earlier, if you’re vigilant enough):

Man Attempts to Open Fire on Crowd at Movie Theater, Armed Off-Duty Sheriff’s Deputy Drops Him With One Bullet

And do NOT be distracted by the fact that this was an off-duty police officer. He could have just as easily been a private citizen and, since she was off duty, this is EXACTLY what the GOOD GUY was at the time of this incident — A PRIVATE CITIZEN!

This sort of scenario plays out many, many more times than it does the other way around. You just do not hear about it because the media (a.k.a. Pravda West) shares in the government’s objective of disarming the people. It is that simple. There is no other rational explanation because the facts prove the rest is all just a bunch of emotionally charged BS:

It is immoral to disarm a free and self-governing people — period!

    • I was wondering. When I read it the first time, I almost thought there were two people involved. I guess my “sexism” is showing again (but it’s really just me skimming the story too fast is all 😉 )

Actually, that detail makes this an even better example 😀

  1. I saw the “thumbs down” on augger’s 2nd Amendment poster (1st reply on this thread) and wondered who and why gave the 2nd a thumbs down. There has been much discussion on the 2nd only applying to a “well regulated militia”, but I believe few people know this;

In 2008 and 2010, the Supreme Court issued two landmark decisions concerning the Second Amendment. In District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), the Court ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to possess a firearm, unconnected to service in a militia and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home. In dicta, the Court listed many longstanding prohibitions and restrictions on firearms possession as being consistent with the Second Amendment. In McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S. 3025 (2010), the Court ruled that the Second Amendment limits state and local governments to the same extent that it limits the federal government.

So you see, the Supreme Court of the United States, the same Supreme Court that liberals love because it declared Obamacare a tax and therefore legal, backed the 2nd Amendent rights of citizens to personally own AND USE a firearm in a self-defense situation outside of a well regulated militia requirement. People are critical of Florida’s Stand Your Ground law, but it is simply an application of the Supreme Court ruling on the 2nd Amendment.

    • FC,

It wouldn’t matter WHAT the SCOTUS thinks about the militia, the founders defined the militia as EVERY able-bodied male. That is as clear as it can be, and is not open to SCOUT “re-interpretation.” It also makes it clear that the founders were NOT talking about the military or national guard or any other government controlled entity, they were talking about you and I and the rest of our neighbors.

The founders also told us the 2nd Amendment was designed to provide us the means of resisting the government, NOT “robbers” or spot shooting or hunting. Again, this was clearly explained and not subject to SCOTUS “re-interpretation.”

      • No disagreement there, but the point makes itself, and crushes the “well regulated militia” group’s only argument. You didn’t interpret the 2nd, I didn’t interpret the 2nd, SCOTUS interpreted the 2nd in favor of the citizens.

  2. Sorry to break it to you…

    1. She ain’t a teacher (in the pic) she’s a certified (minimally as you can get) security+medic (especially)….so she is licensed to carry arms (plus 2 years in army).

    2. It’s a “Carabbean rifle” which is probably from the early 60’s (tops if not even older) I guess…so it’s basically just to scare off if needed.

    3. Sorry to break it to ya but your stats are kinda made up cause here in Israel we don’t have shooting incidents in schools at all because we don’t let children access to GUNS + they aren’t dumb enough to bring them to school!!!

    * saying this as objectively as I can:
Even for me, regardless where or what I did while serving, it’s pretty impossible to get licensed for a hand gun + acually acquiring one.

Sorry to say this but if you wanna go pew pew pew then join the force (at least you’ll also do something resourceful and important).

And before you’ll slander me and my slandered already country….I totally agree with your right to bear arms and not because it’s written on a stuiped 200 year old animal’s hide, but because you guys do live in a crazy place apparently, that you’re willing to let anyone have a gun….but do like most sane countries and have the whole thing REALLY supervised like we do:
    1. To get a license, which you need, you go through a short course…kinda like driving.
    2. Gun owners MUST come once a year to a “qualified range”…woods, rocks, wilderness and etc don’t count…so the representatives of the goverment whom where specified for that job because they are qualified “gunners” that have experience in those subjects…like a sgt in the army that teach how to act and operate a rifle (i think this is how it works in your army…)….basically get people with the knowledge and experience to do that job and you’ll see less idiots holding arms.
    3. Have a “bureaucrat agency” like DMV that will oversee the whole issues (licenses, annual check…) so it will be institualized.

    Bottom line;
    1. Guns are bad and you shouldn’t aspire to let people access to them.
    2. This is a stuiped reality which you chose to let people have guns SO atleast oversee it professionally (like you’d do in the army).
    3. Understand that having a gun is more a liability+responsibility than right so stop every other none qualified asswhole ask to hold one, instead do give but to responsible citizens.

P.s I’m a former sgt from the idf and 2 others so trust me I’m no stranger to arms of all sorts.

    • Love Israel….and support her !!

But our ” Stupid 200 year old Constitution” as you call it, and the Second Amendment which it includes, specifically aims to guard against Totalitarian aggression. Both Domestic and foreign Totalitarianism.

Thus you will excuse us if we demure from your 3 step program. And while acknowledging your vast expertise on these matters of personal liberty, we will let the DMV continue with its normal work load. Which they never fail to accomplish in the most mediocre manor. A manor which we’ve grown accustomed to endure.

      Shalom.

    • Guns are inanimate items so are incapable of being good or bad which leads to people are good or bad. Good people stop bad people from doing bad things. Only a gun can make a 98 pound women equal to a 300 pound man in defending herself. Your ancestors gave up their guns to Hitler who had the same arguments as you. All governments who murdered their citizens disarmed them first. I don’t trust you or my government with a gun more than myself.

    • Hate to break it to you, but:

1 — If she is with the school children, teacher or not, it doesn’t matter. Neither does her training. The point is, she is a trained person is in contact with the kids while armed. THAT IS THE POINT!

2 — The type of weapon is irrelevant.

3 — You don’t have shootings in Israel? OK, then stop guarding yourself against your enemies, like HAMAS and the PLO.

I’ll say this as nicely as I can: if you think I couldn’t get a weapon in Israel, you are in denial.

A country that does not allow its citizens to own their own weapons is NOT ‘sane,’ it is tyrannical. Israel — of ALL nations — should realize this. And as to that 200 year old document: I guess you are an Atheist, as, to diss the U.S. Constitution is to dis the TORA and TANAKH. But then, if you are an Agnostic/Atheist, that would explain your entire comment.

We do not LEGALLY need a license. The Constitution is supposed to guarantee this right, which comes from Adonai. The LAWLESSNESS — and proof of tyranny — is that the government has been trying to force registration and restrict our right to own weapons. And, bottom line, ILLEGAL ‘agencies’ are the very reason that 200 year old document included the 2nd Amendment.

      Bottom line:
1 — A gun is a thing, and things cannot be ‘bad.’ Furthermore, ANYTHING can be a weapon, because the thing that makes something into a weapon is the heart of the person wielding it.
2 — Those who ignore #1 are the ones living in a ‘stupid’ reality — stupid because it is a false reality that exists only in their own minds.
3 — Understand that ANY AND ALL rights carry responsibilities, which is what I suspect you are trying to avoid: personal responsibility!

P.S. I do not care what you were, you are wrong — and it shows.
